Yesterday I spent a rather absurd amount of time reorganizing my DeviantArt gallery. This might not matter to a lot of you here, but if you were interested to see a lot of my non-Rain work, that'd usually be where to do it. To be honest, it still kinda looks like a mess. But I guess that's to be expected when you've got well over 2,000 submissions (more than half of which, being the comic, or at least related to it). Still, it's nicer now than it was, with updates to the sub-gallery folder covers, and I now have one sub-gallery for Older Stuff, so that pre-Rain art can be found without having to sift through seven years of comic pages. XD https://jocelynsamara.deviantart.com/gallery/
As an update to my gallery cleanup yesterday, today I changed some gallery covers again to something nicer, and added a few for stories that didn't previously have their own galleries. I've also included a placeholder for my second comic (just a little "MW" for now, as I haven't formally announced it yet). I'll probably start setting up another comic here on Comic Fury for that too pretty soon. ;P
Again, probably none of that matters to you if you're not following me on DeviantArt, but it did mean some new art. And it feels good to see all the gallery covers lined up like this, so I wanted to share.
It also feels good to flex out and work with stories and characters I haven't been able to focus on in a long time. I'm starting to suspect at least part of my current depression is stemming from burnout with Rain. I mean, doing almost anything for nearly seven years, burnout is probably inevitable.
But please don't take that to mean I'm throwing in the towel. Rain will continue toward a proper ending as was originally planned. Drawing, writing, and generally thinking about other things for at least a little while is helping clear my head a bit though. And when I am ready to finally start the second comic to go up alongside Rain, I think that will help too. While it'll technically be more work, I believe alternating between two very different stories will help prevent either one from growing too stagnant for me.
So again, thank you for bearing with me through all this. I'm hoping to reward everyone's patience with some great content when I can finally get past this thing. ^_^

I just read this whole webcomic in the past 2 days. I usually don't even like relationship/drama heavy stuff, but this definitely grabbed my attention. Good job! (I may or may not have stayed up late reading this a lot instead of doing homework.)
Lavender is a simplistic story about two high school girls who fall in love with each other. There are nine existing chapters in prose, but it is unfinished. I'd like to get back to it at some point (hopefully sooner than later). https://jocelynsamara.deviantart.com/gallery/60136/Lavender
Magical is a "magical girl" story (although the cast does include a pair of magical boys as well). All four heroes are trans though. Currently, all that exists are four prose prologues of the main protagonists' lives before the main story sets in. This is planned to be the comic I work on once Rain is over. https://jocelynsamara.deviantart.com/gallery/46861739/Magical
i tired reading Magical, i was reading Carmens part. and i had to stop. i got to where the boy snaps her bra and say "hes wearing a bra" it really hurts to read that. it hits me on a personal level. that and the fact i still get called by my birth name.
I'm straight and cis but my queer friend introduced me to this comic and I must say, I love it. I literally binge read it for two weeks straight and finally made it here. I'm so glad that it's still going and that I didn't miss all the excitement!! I hope you will continue for years to come :)) thank you

Would it help if I said I absolutely mean to get back to it at some point?

Please, by all means, check them both out. ^_^
Yes. This Carmen and this Carmen are one in the same. Carmen's cameo in Rain is a couple years or so before her prologue story.
And yes, that means Magical is Rainverse canon. Because why not? XD
Also, I've never met anyone else named Jocelyn before, more or less a Jocelyn who's also trans. I'm not alone yay! :)
