Also, I know I've posted all these links before, but I figure this is as good a time as any to share stuff regarding future or on-hold works of mine. In case, you need something to read to fill the gap (for a little bit).
Thanks for the update. Now stop worrying about us and go away until you feel like getting back! And don't you dare rush it, that will only lead to an even longer break.
We love Rain but we also love you. Besides, patience is supposed to be a virtue, so thanks for the opportunity to practice it. :)
If you see this and want to, reply to this comment with your favorite thing about Rain or the impact it has had on you. Let's remind Jocelyn how amazing she is and how much she and her writing mean to us as she takes this time to take care of herself.
I started reading Rain shortly after a friend came out to me as agender. It made me a better and more empathetic ally, and it eventually helped me realize that I was trans, too.
My favorite thing in the Rain universe is Ky's relationship with their sister. It reminds me of my relationship with my brother, and it's adorable.
I also loved what you did with the dream sequence before Rain's involuntary haircut. It made the eventual reveal of what Kellen had done even more powerful, and the artwork was gorgeous.
So I recently finally started to follow my dream and get a book published, and several chapters in it just hit me that the protagonist's love interest is a blond, bisexual girl named Emily.
I swear it's coincidence! Please don't sue me Jocelyn! D:
In all seriousness, just shows how much of an impact this comic has had on me. I'm a transwoman myself, and I so far haven't found a better representation of the stuff we go through anywhere else on the internet.
Thank you for all the love and dedication, Jocelyn, and take as much time as you need on hiatus. After all, your own life is more important than our all-encompassing, insatiable desire for more Rain.
PS Hope things work out Jocelyn :)
