To answer everyone’s first question: no, Gavin is not handing Rain the lingerie his mom suggested in the last page.
Anyway, these two continue to make the night increasingly awkward for each other. Gavin’s lack of understanding towards Rain’s plight does not necessarily equal a lack of compassion, but it certainly might make it SOUND like it to her. Rain on the other hand, through her hesitation and neuroticism, pushes Gavin’s buttons over and over again.
Why wouldn't you expect to get a smoother shave with a women's razor? The stereotypical guy wants to appear manly, so visible hair follicles at least are considered a good thing. Regardless of where a woman is shaving, she probably wants to have no appearance of having ever had hair there.
That's pretty much just the cheap razors. When you get to the good ones, they typically use the same blades, but the handles and heads are shaped and move slightly differently. Facial razors have a body that's much more compact, allowing for more precision on the edges of the path, such as near the ears, and often a single blade if you flip it over for narrow spaces such as the upper lip. Body razors tend to have a larger head to help spread the moisturizing and lubricating cream/gel/soap for a smoother shave. They also typically have slightly wider spacing between the blades, and a handle that's more practical for akward angles, such as the legs, arms, and armpits.

The night may end in strangulation at this point.
