Once again, don't forget that the next update is the last page of the chapter, and that Chapter 31 will begin on February 6th. That's the Monday after next, which means we'll be returning to three updates per week by then! So once this chapter ends, don't forget to check back every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday for new pages. ^_^
Also, I already mentioned this on social media, but I wanted to share that I'm six months post-op today. I spent so much time struggling and feeling like I was failing to get anywhere and telling myself it would never happen. And now it's already been half a year since it DID happen.
Moral of the story: Never give up, folks. No matter how hopeless things may seem sometimes; always fight on (and that applies to a lot of things; not just trans stuff)! You can do it. I believe in you. ^_^
At least I didn't cut it off mid-sentence like that one time. Which, if I made this a two pager, that's pretty much exactly what would've happened. Trust me, I felt this was the lesser of two evil cliffhangers. ^^;
The stretch between Thursday/Friday and Tuesday/Wednesday feels very long sometimes (especially when it's a Thursday update but the next one isn't until Wednesday) sooo I'm excited for the regular updates to resume!
So I'm guessing next one is a two-pager probably having something to do with Emily asking about Rain's opinions with motherhood (based on the fact that she heard Rain talk about her earliest memory being "I want to be a mommy") which should be interesting.
Whelp, I'm stumped. I have no idea what Emily is about to say. Ah the suspense!
On an unrelated note, Jocelyn, is there any chance you could sell digital versions of the compilation books? I REALLY want to read the bonus chapters, and I want to give you money for the comic, but I also don't have a place to store physical books. Even if PDFs of Rain cost the same as the print versions, I'd still buy them 'cause your comic is that good!
It feels like just yesterday that a cried tears of joy upon reading that you came out of the surgery just fine... Gah, being a fan is weird. Anyway, congrats on the first six month of a beautifully renewed life :)
Silly genes, bringing us things like survival instinct and adrenaline and opposable thumbs and rational thought and the ability to bake chocolate-chip muffins.
Black socks, that's obviously not what they mean, but I think you already knew that. Remember the adage about not having anything nice to say? Reviewing that might be wise.
Also, FYI there's a difference between a joke and sarcasm.
Joke:
1.
something said or done to provoke laughter or cause amusement, as a witticism, a short and amusing anecdote, or a prankish act:
He tells very funny jokes. She played a joke on him.
2.
something that is amusing or ridiculous, especially because of being ludicrously inadequate or a sham; a thing, situation, or person laughed at rather than taken seriously; farce:
Their pretense of generosity is a joke. An officer with no ability to command is a joke.
3.
a matter that need not be taken very seriously; trifling matter:
The loss was no joke.
4.
something that does not present the expected challenge; something very easy:
The test was a joke for the whole class.
5.
practical joke. http://www.dictionary.com/browse/joke?s=t
Sarcasm:
1.
harsh or bitter derision or irony.
2.
a sharply ironical taunt; sneering or cutting remark http://www.dictionary.com/browse/sarcasm?s=t
It's okay. Supposedly, they're doing work in China right now implanting uteruses in transwomen,
And my graduate work might be in Genetics, and if it is, my thesis will be in growing transwomen genetic matches of their own uterus. So, in like, 10-20 years, transwomen might be able to be pregnant with their own eggs. Maybe earlier if someone else is doing this work. (I always seem to have ideas that scientists do and release a few years later.)
I've been trying so hard to wait but since you're only updating Wednesday and Friday for this chapter, the wait from Friday to Wednesday is killing me!!! D:

I'd gladly pay for offline digital books in full color. I'd even gladly pay *more* for them!
I just know this is going to be a question about Rain's "I want to be a Mommy" memory. And I have a feeling it is gonna be a heavy one.
Also, congratulations on being a half-year post op! *throws confetti with one hand while desperately hanging onto the cliff with the other*
DAMN YOU GENES FOR NOT LETTING ME BE ABLE TO GET PREGNANT !!!! :(

Well, at least it's not February any more?
I mean aside from in real life. Since it's... February now. Can we not escape this month!?
The new page actually went up just a couple minutes before this post. ^_^

Sorry for the delay. Thanks for your patience.
