I've been practicing drawing various Pokemon for a future project. Here're just a few that I'd have to draw a fair bit.
Not a whole lot to say, but this is pretty different for me. I've been having a lot of fun practicing so far though, and any input would be very welcome!
Was there an event? Far as I know, the Pikachu color scheme is typical of shiny Pichu. That's what I was going for here anyway; there are two Pichu, and one is shiny. ^_^
Yeah, there was a shiny Pichu distribution event back in the days of HeartGold/SoulSilver - which, oddly enough, could be used to trigger an in-game event to add the Notched-Ear Pichu (HG/SS only) to your party.
And then Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs came out shortly after... yeah, Pichu was a fad for quite awhile.
I started reading this comic about a week or so ago and I'm finally caught up. This comic makes me so happy and emotional at times simply because it hits so close to home for me as a trans women. I share the same birth name with Rain as a matter of fact. Just a few pages ago, I was so happy for Rain, she's so lucky to be starting HRT. I wish I had the same luxury.
By no means is this comprehensive, nor am I even really picking favorites first (because I'm actually quite fond of all the ones you've just mentioned too). I will probably post more of these in the future, as I have a LOT of Pokemon I'll need to be acquainted with drawing in the future. So keep an eye out for more. ;)
Again. Rain is the patient. Kellen is not. Vincent is advocating on behalf of Rain as to a family member giving her shit. Also, with it being a family matter and Fara is family as well as Rain's welfare being her concern, she should be informed of progress. If by chance something comes up too personal for family concerns, I doubt such will be divulged. No HIPAA violations here. Stop the nonsense.
On another note, I'm disappointed to see it went quite so well. Kellen just isn't worth all that. Better to have her run over by a bus.
I don't believe you're talking to an author whose philosophy on either drama OR life would consider "the person I don't like gets run over by a bus" the best outcome.
I'm not sure why you are commenting about it under this page (Pokémon always seemed completely tangential to the comic itself, though that could change in the future), but it's true there wasn't a HIPAA violation since Rain consented to the disclosure to Kellen. However, at the time that comment came out, we the audience didn't know that. It's perfectly logical that there was discussion about it at the time. In fact, I would have been disappointed if no one had brought this up as a potential issue in the comments section for that page. Of course, the question was answered a few pages later, closing the issue altogether.
Err, I meant "at the time that *page* came out". Not comment. You know how sometimes you are thinking one word but accidentally type a word you were thinking for a few words earlier in your writing or a for a few words later? Happens to me sometimes.
I get the feeling that having Kellen die unexpectedly would hit Rain harder than she realizes. I do think it would totally devastate Aiken. While it might be interesting to see how Rain handles it, my heart would ache for Aiken in such circumstances. He'd also be in big need of Rain and Fara in that case. Would they have to kick Jessica out in that case? I could see a big, potentially melodramatic argument resulting. Where would Jessica go then? How would Rain take her brother showing back up? It'd be an interesting turn of events, for sure, but I don't see the story going there.
Hear ye, hear ye! This illustrious webcomic doth be in possession of a fine wikia! Tally ho!

I'm commenting here because this is the current page. It was only one page before this one. I'm only a tad tardy.
Yes, I thought it was already clear there was no violation as well. Yet, on the page immediately before this Pokemon fluff some chuckleheads were still whining about HIPAA violations.
When Kellen betrayed Rain that tore it. Kellen dying a hardship for the family? No, they'd all be better off without her. Relieve a burden on the family. For a minute it did look like the author was heading the story towards an underbus solution for Kellen. But she quickly steered away from that. I'm not surprised but a girl can hope while it's still up in the air.
