Very eclectic little page covering lots of short points that couldn't quite stand as their own pages. Much of it reflects my own personal experience.
For me, I've never had an appointment with my endo where I was actually seen on time. Including being early and waiting to be brought into another room where I can continue to wait. That said, she IS an excellent doctor, so all the waiting is kind of a small price to pay. ^_^
When I first went to see her though, I hadn't changed my name yet, so I filled out all the paperwork using my legal name at the time. Unfortunately, there was nowhere to write in my preferred name, so I was called the first time using my "unpreferred" name just like Rain. But a quick, little "hey, I prefer to be called..." changed that. If only it was always that easy.
The part that's exclusive to Rain though, is her and Emily having some awkwardness with regards to their secret relationship. That's just 'cause I haven't had any cute blushy moments between since coming back. XD
I hadn't settled on a new name when I first went to my endo, so legal name it was, they did ask me my preferred name when I signed in though, and ask me with every visit if I'm ready to update it. This January will mark 1 year since my first visit (and 10 months HRT) I think I'm finally ready to do it.
I'm kinda having a name problem, my birth name Brian Michael, when i cam out my frinds started calling me Michelle but my mom calls me Nichelle. i honestly like both the names but my mom is kinda persuering me to change my name to Nichelle because "she gave birth to me and parents name there kids"
My Mom didn't get to pick my name, because I didn't like her choices. I chose the name of my Avatar since it has special meaning to me. My favorite game and song is centered around "Melodies of Life" and I always liked the character Melody in Pokemon 2000, so it stuck.
She did choose my middle name though, which is also shared by my Dog ironically... not sure how I feel about that.
Also, this was totally my experience yesterday. Stupid glasses got broke cause I stomped on them in the bathroom, so I go wait at the glasses store.
Then, they send me to the eye doctor. Dude, seriously, I just want the same exact prescription. I've had the same prescription for 5 years, and the prescription before that 10 more years. I'm convinced doctors just up the prescription so your eyes will adjust to more and more until you get blind as a bat and they can sell you on super-expensive stuff. :jaded:
They are official. But like EpicSD said, they haven't told anyone (including Fara).

Well, Maria figured it out, but that's irrelevant here. Anyway, Fara's just saying "sisters" in this case because Rain and Emily had been calling each other "sis" before all the crushing began.

I so wish I had hair like Rain's when it was long. I also wish I had rich green eyes too. At least HRT has changed my eyes from solid brown to greenish hazel, so I am grateful for that. I'm old, so I have to wear a wig to present as female in public, and mine kinda looks like a 50+ year old version of Emily.... It was completely unplanned too, but I'll gladly take it :-)
It sometimes does for some individuals on MtF HRT if your genetics happen to be susceptible to it. It is a byproduct of the rapid hormonal shift reducing the amount of melanin pigment in the irises. Brown eyes can lose pigment to become green or hazel. Green eyes can turn blue. It came as a complete surprise to me so I researched it and discovered that it is somewhat rare but there are plenty of documented cases of it happening, and apparently I'm one of the lucky few.
i guess i got lucky in that I have barely ever waited 15 minutes past my appointment time.
also when i filled out the form the receptionist looked and saw my male name and asked what id prefer she call me by. which is pretty cool because not that many people know about trans people in my region
So far, I haven't had an appointment with my Endo where I had to wait too long. Including times when I was early and thought I had time to eat my subway sub. O.O

Hi Rain. Thank you for distracting me from my actual fear for my ongoing life.
Also Rain's outfit and Rain herself look unusually cute this page. I am the jelly.

This is what we've got of an answer so far. It appears the school has bought the "persistent typo" angle.
Lucky me?
