I kinda hate this page, personally. There were a number of Fara/Vincent pages planned for this chapter that I ended up cutting because they added nothing to the story and the chapter was already getting too long. But the gist of those pages are summed up right here. Yes, it's nice to see a couple(?) getting along so well with some of romantic turmoil going on through this arc. But all of their scenes just felt clunky and out of place to me. This one just isn't much better - with or without all the other scenes - but I felt like I had to show them again at least once.
Bleh. I don't know. I hope you folks appreciate this one more than I do.
Speaking as someone who clicks quickly, I'm glad to see this page.
Whenever you have that intense immediate connection, be it with a new person or an old person you're getting to know again, you have to question if you're going too fast. It's nice to see Fara and Vincent question it, even if they both agree that it isn't an issue.
Anyway, I had what has to be the best reaction to coming out to a large group of male high school seniors-two standing ovations. I kid you not. So yeah I'm on a high right now.
I think your first instinct was right: it was good to check in on these two.
Don't second-guess it. Not every page has to be epic... this was a nice character moment, and doesn't need to be more.
And when they do someday get another epic page, one of the reasons why we will care what happens is because we have scenes like this making them come alive.
I think the sun would explode before Fara would backpedal to the point of referring to Rain as male again. And there's even less a chance she'd start doing that with Vincent specifically, given the influence this trans therapist has had on her life and views.
So yeah, nephew is Aiken. She only has to clarify who when talking about nieces, but even then she and Kellen probably aren't on speaking terms so that probably won't be an issue most of the time either.
I keep wondering why Vincent has been wearing the same clothes for 2 months and then I realise it's all in the same night! This is like the opposite of binge watching TV seasons.
Loving the comic Jocelyn, this page was definitely necessary for their relationship (and about time we visited them again!) Relationship talks can sometimes feel a bit clunky and unnatural irl anyway... I think it's perfect :)

and we do, :D
and yes! we totally do ^_^
I guess I would have liked the full version though. I don't mind long chapters :-)
This other you may be thinking of, she never existed to me. >.<
Raimily remains my OTP, however.

It boosts my faith in humanity. ~

P.S. I ship it. Kiss each other goodbye already!
But is Rain really her Nephew???
Really?
Aiken is her nephew...

That's a slur for trans women
