Why yes! There is still more Ky and Drew to see in this chapter. :D
I will say that this is the extent of their interaction with Gavin, Ruby, and Allison though. This encounter - despite it's potential importance - is rather limited and one-sided (the others never see Ky and Drew). However, we have a situation where practically all the main kids are at the mall at he same time again... but for once, having them all meet isn't necessarily guaranteed. Perhaps there will be some overlap between the various parties. Just not these two.
Everyone seems to love the mall a lot XD
From my point of view, there isn't much to say about this encounter, other than that Drew has a lot to learn...
At least he's trying to understand it all, though. Some people I know, even if they were in Drew's position, would just turn up their noses and say 'Your friends are all weirdos.' This gets on my nerves, especially as I'm an afab genderfluid demigirl, though they all just say I'm a 'girl' no matter what I feel or say :(
Stories where the characters who live in the same city & don't all keep running into each other (or don't all know each other, or know people in common with each other) always strike me as weird. Here in Wellington (the capital of NZ), it's actually considered pretty unusual to meet another long-time resident & NOT know a bunch of people in common; & back in high school, it was basically impossible not to run into a bunch of people you knew any time you went into town. There are still some places I can go with a bunch of friends where I'm almost guaranteed to run into someone at least one of us knows.
Sometimes this is one of the things I love about this city. Other times, it very much has caused massive drama with sometimes pretty big negative consequences…
