I really don't like this page. I know where I wanted to go with it, but no matter how many times I reread it, I worry I'm not conveying it well. I was still tweaking the dialogue on this one as recently as ten minutes ago. I'm sure I'll find out soon enough how I did though. I imagine this one will elicit a lot of varied responses either way, so I'll just let you take it from here.

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

Er-hem. I hope this doesn't detract from story-related comments, but as you may or may not have heard, I've got an appointment for SRS consultation scheduled for the end of the month. Maybe - just maybe - something good will be in my future. This also means your help was never more welcome if you're willing and/or able. Buying books, or shirts, or scarves/wristbands, or just plain donations are all very helpful right now. Obviously, if you are unable to or don't want to offer anything, that's totally fine. There are other ways you can help. Like voting for Rain on TopWebComics or joining/sharing the Facebook page can help spread the word about my work. Thanks for anything you can do; no hard feelings if you can't. ^_^

Is it possible the friend is Ana? We haven't heard about her for a while...

Gavin Makes a valid point, and as much as I wouldn't want to be told I didn't pass...I would want my closest friends to tell me before I went out in public and embarassed myself. I can tell Gavin is having a hard time thinking of what to say to Rain so as to not hurt her

I think tactful (key word) honesty is always the best policy.

Either way, I'm happy that Gavin is thinking about how Rain would feel because of what he sees, he's trying to protect her rather than just going off because he's scared. He also listens when Rudy tells him his plan isn't exactly helping anything. He's really trying to be a good friend, and I think that's the most important growth he's made since his first appearance.

Dang, Gavin's really come a long way.

I think I have a good idea of what is happening with his friend too, gonna be interesting to see if my super power to predict any and all plot twists holds true.

Reminds me of my math teacher from last year. Walked up to me eating with one of my smart-guy buddies, gave a joking look of shock and went "You have FRIENDS!?"

Love that guy. Not the best teacher if you couldn't keep up (fiftieth year of teaching, retired at its end, apathy was setting in) but he was hilarious.

As per usual, Rudy, you're underthinking it. XD

However, Gavin probably overthink it, indeed. I think that Gavin gives way too much value to what he'll say. It's like wanting to create the best book/movie/videogame/music ever, you expect too much and it WILL be a disappointment.
Good luck, Gavin! :3

Oh Rudy, thank you for being you.
