Sooo... kind of a weird, foreboding page to come back on. I also realize this isn't the most substantial page. Both of these points are a big part of why I decided to post a day earlier than I originally planned. I just didn't want this one going up on Christmas. I had a weird, heavy page go up on Christmas day last year, so I wanted to avoid doing that again for the second year in a row. I was kinda set on this being the chapter opener though.
TL;DR - We're back a day early so we can have a more fun page for the holiday itself.
But it HAS been a while, and I miss the reader conversations! Not a lot happens here, but there's technically a lot to discuss! For instance, what do you think Chase was planning on saying/doing had Emily been there to answer the door? We can probably assume it's got something to do with her pregnancy, but what exactly do you think he wants? And keeping in mind everything that's happened with regards to Chase, does his opinion or what he wants regarding any of this matter? But most importantly, I reiterate a question I've already asked before: is Chase a threat?
Hooo boy... coming back heavy. ^^; You'll notice Chase isn't on the chapter cover though, so he doesn't have a huge role in this one. Just know that it was important to start with this.
Next time: something cute. After all, Emily's not here because she's out with her friends. :)
Having dealt with an aggressive, violent ex in the past, i have to say Chase's behaviour here is making all my alarms go off. I hope Emily doesn't end up having to confront him alone. :|
I don't see Chase as violent, immature and irresponsiable for sure but not violent... His actions here strike me as a guy who is trying to find out how badly he screwed up (he hasn't heard it from Emily yet or seen her so in his mind he must have misunderstood something) as for what happens when he finally talks to Emily... he will probably say and do whatever he can so that he doesn't have charges pressed against him for statutory
Except that otherwise non-violent people can do really stupid things when their back is up against the wall. Given that those charges would make it absolutely impossible for him to ever integrate back into society (even after he's served his punishment), he could become desperate enough.
I trust Chase about as far as I can throw him... *rolls d20, rolls 1* Yeah, that's not happening. Especially not if you're screaming "open the damn door" while it's dark out. If I were Enily I'd call the police and remove him from the premises, if I were home.
Well, it looks like Chase does NOT like Emily's pregnancy. I think he wants Emily to abort her baby... He could psychologicaly harm her.
Prepare for trouble, and make it double!
I am curious to know what Chase has to say.

Posting started early, to much delight.
I wonder where this goes? And if it might mean implications for Rain.
*Gets like two hours sleep*
*Painters in house being really obnoxious*
*Rain starting back up*
This is gonna be a good day.
