Oh, Heather. That beer saved the side of your head from a royal whoopin’. Aunt Fara, “Defender of Transjustice” (I just made that up now) does not approve her trivializing comments. It’s clear that Fara’s getting uncomfortable and probably wondering if she should kidnap Ky(lie).
Speaking of whom, I imagine that kid is confusing a lot of people right now. Are we looking at a true female-to-male transsexual in hiding (or denial)? Perhaps he’s only playing along until he can get away from Heather? Maybe he’s even completely unaware of his own feelings on the matter? Or simply a devoted crossdresser? Any thoughts?
First, I should probably say that I've been reading this for a bit, but this is my first time commenting. I am definitely enjoying this comic, and really looking forward to where it's going to go.
My guess is that Ky(lie) is bigender. It seems to fit what is said fairly well, and not everybody fits into the strictly defined categories of 'transsexual' or 'not transsexual.'
Ky(lie) really interests me because I am like her! Sometimes I like being a girl and sometimes I like being a guy and I don't know what its called, which really annoys me cos I'm one of those people that likes to label, especially myself
I love this panel because my daughter Kylie was named Kyle when she was born because we thought she was a boy. :) 6 1/2 years later she told us we were wrong, and we welcomed our daughter. :)
when reading the comments of the comic, i'm honestly kinda surprised that there are so many people that don't know a lot of terminology. I dunno. I guess i only really started thinking about it when my friend came out as bi, and i did only learn about pansexuality and (...whatever the noun-al form of intersex is) after reading this comic, so i suppose there's that, but i feel like i've always known the terminology.

It sounds like you would be "gender fluid" to me. ^_^
