Originally, these were going to be separate. But the first page in particular is possibly one of the simplest, "copy-pastinest" pages to appear in the comic. I really wanted it to stand on it's own, but it just kinda doesn't. So I tacked it onto the second page, which is actually one of the busier and more complex pages to date. Go figure. XD

So, let's talk the second page, which is essentially just a montage of the two girls having fun for the rest of the day at the con (yes, we're drawing close-ish to the end of this chapter). At 3:00 they find themselves at a panel hosted a pair of Let's Players. I happen to be a big Game Grumps fan, so I thought, "why not?" Although, unfortunately I didn't consider until after the page was done that chronologically, the story is in February of 2012, so the real world equivalent of the show shouldn't have even started yet (much less have one of the hosts shown). But whatever, just this once I'll let it slide.

At 4:00, Rain and Emily are back in the shopping area. Rain had agreed to get Gavin a Mad GigaKaizer X Neo model, if you remember from early in the previous chapter. But apparently, there's more than one Neo model, and she's not familiar enough with GigaKaizer lore or his tastes to figure out what he wanted exactly. The three models shown (Ghost, Type-G, and Burn) are just random names/designs I made up after looking at a bunch of Gundam models for inspiration. And it's plausible too; I've had a lot of mecha fan friends, and while I don't hate it, I just don't get it like they do. Sorry, guys. In Rain's shoes, I'd be just as lost. XD

Additional note on this panel goes to the cosplaying sellers. They're dressed as Hallie and Noah from Contest of Heroes, yet another work of mine.

5:00 rolls around, and they happen to spot a Pandora cosplayer which surprises Emily. There's not much to say about this one, but it's pretty cute.

And at 6:00, we witness the girls at yet another seller, with a thing that OF COURSE Rain wants. I know she already got a keychain, but you can't snuggle that. In fairness, if my favorite characters ever had dolls and keychains and stuff like that, I'd be buying them all too. Damn my love for "not popular enough" characters. XD

And then Emily casually saves the day.

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

I have hexakosioihexekontahexaphobia but if I don't look at the page number I should be ok...

I love that Emily saves the day here, such an awsome friend

Would it help at all to know that the number in "Revelation" could just as likely be 616? The number itself is very often seen as referring to Nero (or to Domitian, by using Nero as a symbol for him)--especially since "Revelation" is often understood as being a political work for the author's time. Nobody is -entirely- sure exactly what "The Number" meant, but most theologians that I know [I am the daughter of a Christian theologian, & regularly attend theology seminars, including recently one all about "Revelation"] don't really consider it all that powerful or relevent a number for today.

Not trying to be insensitive. I know that phobias are, by their definition, usually irrational. I have sometimes found it helpful to be able to remind myself of non-scary research around my phobias, where I am forced to interact with them, so I hope maybe this might help *offers Internet hugs of sympathy & phobia-suffering solidarity*

Thank you. as much as I disagree with mainstream religion, I am a Christian and there are certain things that I take seriously such as daily prayer and not messing with anything demonic (ouija boards, the mocking of the trinity, and the number of the beast) . I know it's just a number but i'd rather be cautious about it than leave myself open to any kind of negative energy

Fair enough. I get pretty freaked out about things like ouija boards as well, & there are certain jokes and the like which freak me out. God bless :-) xoxo

I don't think the ponytail would be as big, but I can still do a decent sized one. AND I have a cute gothic punk outfit that I think rain would look adorable in. Or badass. Either way, every Rose has its thorns, am I right ? XD

I got confused because I thought they were up in the middle of the night. We have the 24 hours-system where I live so "3:00" means 3 am and if you want 3 pm you say "15:00". But someone pregnant wouldn't be walking around 'till 6 am so I figured it out.

Are the Grouch Gamers suppose to be the Game Grumps? Please say you have Markiplier somewhere in here!

I think it's a callback to when Rain touched Emily's hand when comforting her after she started feeling sick.

I don't know anything about Game Grumps, but "not as much of a grouch" looks kind of like Weird Al to me.
