(Earlier than usual post because I'll be busy this evening for I don't know how long.)
I'm sure a lot of us (if not all of us) have been in this situation. You want to confess your feelings to someone (or come out, or make some big revelation, etc), but you're nervous. Maybe you weren't planning to do it at this moment, but then the perfect opportunity just comes up. Now's your chance! In the next fractions of seconds, you decide you're ready and you plan the smoothest, most clever way to say it. But then, what comes out of your mouth is NOT what you planned in your head. In fact, it actually bears the potential to make it HARDER for you say it for real later.
Rephrasing that: The USS Raimily is now preparing to lift anchor, but is experiencing technical difficulties. But now we know that the odds are favorable for us that ship those two.
As a side note, I have been experimenting with my hair, and tried the "one eye covered" thing (but my hair isn't long enough in the back yet for anything else...), and everyone seems to like it. But my one friend I got caught on Rain called me out. XD
It may have taken the better end of a week for me to do it, but i just read through the entire comic.
First off, the artwork is amazing, beautifully drawn and more detailed than most other comics I've read, web-based or not. Especially after the chapter 15 character update.
Secondly, I love the story and the message of equality you present. The characters are extremely well thought out, there's twists and turns, and you illustrate such a touchy subject so honestly and openly, giving realistic reactions and relating to experiences many of us have had without being offensive with the less-than-friendly non-LGBT characters, and presenting everyone exactly how they should be: normal.
::EDIT:: I forgot to mention the comic relief, its perfectly placed and makes things more lighthearted when it needs to be. Plus that whole TRANSciever thing almost made me choke when I read it, its been right there the whole time and I didn't think of it..
Third, I really appreciate how you do open up to us and share personal things such as your transition, your real-life experiences, and even your complications. For many of us its hard to admit who we are with the closest people we know (and we don't all have a Rudy to do it for us, dude), and it cant be easy opening up to what amounts to the entire world. I greatly appreciate this and support you unconditionally as I'm sure all of your fans do.
Finally, I greatly appreciate everything you do. The webcomic, the numerous stories, and especially the videogame demo. These things must be very time-consuming and difficult to work in around your schedule, yet you devote so much time and heart into each and every one.
(P.S how cute is Nelly? apart from rain, I feel she is the cutest character, and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would love to see more of her, her background and her story. And I would like to start a motion to bring back Ruby! The singles-awareness-day strip I thought for sure she was coming back but I was disappointed when gavin said no..)
Firstly, thank you on all accounts! I'm honored and delighted that you appreciate my work so much. It really means a lot. ^_^
Also, Chanel is easily one of my personal favorite characters. I just haven't had quite enough opportunity to flesh her out. Expect to see more development with her in the future though. And Ruby! People have asked about this, but I promise we haven't seen the last of Ruby (although it may yet be a while, so do be patient). :D
Is it Rain's imagination... or Emily's? It certainly seemed like Emily was pretty disapponted that wasn't where Rain ended up going with her comment...
@Jocelyn Uh... Hey. I'm sure you could understand this, but I'm trying to read on my 3DS (Nothing else to use right now...). The issue is that the menu for each page gives an error because it can only hold 200 items... Do you know of any workarounds? (Now my hand hurts from typing with my stylus...)
I noticed that too. Damn, that'll be fun. XD
