So, just a little clarification: The guy in panel 5 is nobody. He's a hypothetical personification of "Jessica's type". Don't put too much thought into it. If he looks like anyone else, it's purely coincidental. That panel was almost going to show Chase. But I don't think Chase was really her type either. Not totally. Yes, he's tall, and technically charming (to hide the scumbag within), but I wouldn't consider the guy classy by any stretch of the imagination.
Panel 6 however, is a memory of Aiken presenting Jessica with the necklace she's always seen wearing (like, in the rest of the page, for example). It's such a cute image... and yet, really kinda sad when you think about it.
It may not be realistic for Jessica and Aiken ever to get back together...
But who cares; realism is overrated! I ship them.
I don't know if Rain can "play Cupid" with these two, but she may not have to. I think Aiken has figured out that "trans woman" is a thing. That's the crucial breakthrough. The rest is just the two of them getting past the bad parts of their history.
I don't believe in "types" you love who you love. Interestingly every girl I dated before I came out as trans has come out as bi or gay after we broke up (in retrospect it makes sense)
I don't believe types are terribly important, but everyone's got their own standards and preferences (and there's nothing wrong with that). Doesn't mean people can't fall for someone outside of those preferences though.
I would like to see Aiken meeting with Jessica again at some point. However, I don't think they should get back together. At least not as they are now. It seems to me that they both have some growing up to do if they want to have a successful long-term relationship. It's possible that they could potentially make it work if they got back together but they would need to not only get over the other's betrayal, they would need to realize their need to mature before they get too far along on restarting their relationship.

Also, in completely self-interested news, I HAVE A GIRLFRIEND. She's lovely and lovely and lovely and stuff <3
