I don't know about you, but knick-knacks like keychains, figurines, and plushies of characters from my favorite games and anime are about my favorite things ever. I can't always get them like I'd want to, but if I go somewhere - con or otherwise - and stumble upon something like this, it just makes me giddy. ^_^

Also, you may have seen that keychain before. I've posted a practice version of it a few months back. The final cut ended up being even chibier though. XD

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

Jocelyn, have you thought of starting merchandizing Rain?
I know plushie toys and figurines would be too much to handle, but how about Rain bracelets with a simple inscription and in TG flag colours?
That would just be neat, I'd get one immediately and wear it all the time.

Actually, we used to have an Etsy shop that sold crochet scarves and wristbands of the various pride flag colors (as made by my wife). She got a bit burnt out though, so the shop's closed for while.

In the meantime, I'm working on something else with which to merchandise. More on this when it's ready. ;)

Common mistakes.

Wait could someone actually make that mistake?

I can vouch it's happened the other way around. Not two weeks into posting Rain, I recall a reader expressed having a hard time following my pages. Turned out he was reading right-to-left as a default on account of the artstyle. Surprised me quite a bit.

That said, if such confusion can happen one way, I figure it can happen the other too.

I personaly like how the print version of Rain has a big stop sign on the last page and a warning saying you're reading the book the wrong way silly ^_^

Actually I made that mistake back when I first started reading Manga in the mid to late nineties... hard to believe it's been almost 20 years since I read my first Manga. Also hard to believe I'm almost thirty.

I tried to read your comic from right to left too. It threw me for a loop, took me a while to get used to reading your comic left to right.

I know this debacle, I test read a page of this comic right to left and then left to right to judge which way its meant to be read

I had to figure out the panel order in manga myself, despite making comments about stuff not making sense to four different otakus I knew who had told me I *had* to read their favorite manga.

Though, the first few mangas I read after I figured that out were also annoyingly inconsistent in their panel order. Sure, they'd have the left to right consistent for the first page of the work, but some pages in the middle would do a left to right at the top, right to left in the center, then left to right again at the bottom. Or have a page that went left top to left bottom to right bottom to right top, right center, center. WTF. Once I got the feeling I needed to figure out panel order on every page and that no manga would ever stay open easily, I decided to stop trying.

Yes, I get that I probably was looking at some pretty crappy manga. But at least from what I've seen, the bit with the books not actually opening and staying that way easily seems to be a commonality. And that would be easy to fix if they were inclined. It's also not like I'm at a loss for things to do or read; I have a reading list that'll take several lifetimes to get through and a personal project list that would also take several lifetimes to do. Not to mention a job where I have a few years of backlogged work.

heck i've gotten used to reading manga then reading comics so I can pretty much tell if i'm reading it the wrong way or not in the first few pages.

yes. yes they could. back in elementary school, i read my first manga entirely back to front. i assumed it was messed up because of translation errors or something. it turned me off of manga for a while and i cringe so hard every time i think of it.

Ha! I have read one manga in my life and it took me a few pages to vaguely remember someone mentioning they're not read left-to-right.
