Little artistic note of all things that I want to bring up on this one. The page before this was the last one I'd drawn before the whole cancer ordeal had me not drawing anything two months. When I finally got back to it, I apparently forgot what side of the bed Rain and Emily were on. As a result, they've switched. Oops? Just make up a reason for them to switch and we'll roll with that. XD
On topic, Emily's got a lot more to say, but this is already a two-pager. Much as I hated the idea of splitting any of this week's pages, it's a necessary evil sometimes if I don't wanna work myself into the ground doing a seven-pager. So, expect a lot of "multi-pager" updates this week as we finally make our way to the end of this chapter and the year. ^_^
I don't know much about Debbie, but I'm pretty sure Holly really wouldn't care about Emily being pregnant... If anything, I think she'd probably be the one dragging Emily to baby stores and all that.
My feeling is Debbie would act like Emily predicts here. If Emily approaches Holly about her pregnancy, it would go as Nightsky predicted: she'd be excited to help Emily out with getting baby clothes and stuff. If she finds out through other channels, I don't have any feel for how she'd react.
Wow, I relate really hard to this. My close friends know the real me, but everyone else sees my tough exterior. Thanks to you Jocelyn for putting a ton of life's experiences into such a relatable comic :)
Emily visibly got off to take out her contacts, and Rain seems to have taken out her paddings, so I guess they went back to bed in the opposite order...
"Ung...grrr...mumble mumble"
"Something wrong, Emily?"
"Feels like this side is too soft. Feels like I'm sinking into an abyss."
"That's funny. Feels a bit hard on this side. Maybe we could switch?"
"Good idea."
Mystery solved.
...
"If we ever get married, getting you a temperpedic mattress."
"What?"
*blush* "Nothing."
make up a reason for them to switch sides? ok: they were rolling all over each other during their hours-long make-out session and when it was over they´d forgotten where they started.
...ah crap, I'm shipping again.

BTW, I can identify with Emily on the fake persona thing.... been there, done that, and guilty of still doing it way too often.
