Octopus plushies used to actually be a pretty common motif in a lot of my stories. I haven't used it in a long time though for some reason. It felt right to bring it back though.
Oh, and Ana never ceases to be mysterious (and a little quirky).
In case you hadn't gotten the memo yet, Rain - Volume 2 is FINALLY available for purchase! It covers Chapters 7 through 14 (plus an exclusive bonus chapter), and features much higher quality (no more fuzzy text). So check it out if you can. ^_^
Ana having an 'extended vacation' over winter break, right after we find out Mr. Strongwell is sending Maria to one of those wretched camps.
It seems like she has a set date for when she'll be ready to date Gavin, and chuckled conspicuously when he brought that point up. Kind of like she'll be ready after she gets back from 'training' of some sort.
I have to say, I REALLY hope Ana is straight and cis. It feels like we need more of those... plus, I bet Gavin's kinda hoping for a lady he can date, given that he's our resident "I'm representative of the general populace" - that is to say, not GSM. I feel like he deserves a ladyfriend ^-^, he's a good guy.
There is nothing wrong with saying that good people deserve to be loved.
And there is nothing wrong with wishing someone drama-free relationship - I don't think Gavin solved his issues with attraction to trangendered and crossdressing people yet.
And nothing wrong with wishing Ana had less issues, since she already struggles with prior abuse.
So. Why was Noelle wrong when wished that Ana be straight cis girl attracted to and dating Gavin?
:) well said. There wasn't anything wrong with what he said, just with what I'm asuming to be, an un intensional ipresion provided with the luanguage used. That is, that if ana wasn't any of those things it would be a problemb for gavin.
the second to last panal reminds me of rain for some reason. and so i fail as a human and make asumptions. wonders if ana is a ninja with posibble trans apointments
whats demisexual. also with all the other groups in hear I'm surprised they haven't thrown in an intersexed person yet. then again there are so many variants on that one and not many ways to go into it with raising the rating quite a bit.
"Like you already marked your calendar for it" - one of ways it could be interpreted, is that she won't date anyone after her previous fiasco until after one of milestones of transitioning (hormones? srs?).
I'd still say there is no more than 50/50 chance of her being transgendered. Just because comic is LGBT themed doesn't mean there cannot be even one straight-cis couple that involves main character.
I find it significant that she cares so much about her name being spelled correctly. It makes me think that she's trans and chose it herself. I'm not sure what this absence of hers means, though. Surely she's not getting bottom surgery? She's still a minor, isn't she? But if she's intersex, it might make more sense.
She's not a minor. Gavin is 18 as of a month before January 10, and she's a month older than he is. Ref: http://rain.webcomic.ws/comics/470 date ref: http://rain.webcomic.ws/comics/433
Thanks to Gavin's comment about wanting to be her friend because he's the only cis in his circle of friends on http://rain.webcomic.ws/comics/470, if she is trans, she's not going to consider dating him until after bottom surgery, and even after that, Rain probably has better dating prospects with her if Ana happens to be pan.
That said, I've known a lot of cis people with longer less common names who really appreciated people spelling their name right. This effect can even be seen with some people with more common longer names like Veronica. (I knew a Veronica in high school who loathed a particular kid because in the first grade he continually spelled her name Veronika.)
Also just ordered my copy of Rain vol.2 should be here in 15 days or less :)

Is there hope for Rain x Ana after all?
I don't mean to come across as hostile, it's just difficult not to comment on such language after a while.
