This was another kinda last minute page. Partly because I wanted an excuse to bring up a little dialogue on life post-RuIn. I always hate it when TV shows, movies, books, etc. feature a pair of characters who break up mid-story and it's just suddenly like that former relationship never even happened. It rubs me the wrong way, so I don't want to do that sort of thing. Hence, the plight of Rain, who is still new to the whole "dating-and-then-being-single-again" dynamic. They might still be friends, but that doesn't mean things go right back where they were before.

And out of curiosity, DO you have to bring a date? I know I brought a date to my prom, but I don't recall having to sign a form naming my date or anything (mind you, it was a long time ago). I feel like the whole date thing was just kinda between the two of us, really.

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

Also, I've said this before, but I'm trying to raise money for SRS, and I'm still struggling with it. If you can help, it would be most welcome. If not, don’t worry about it. I totally understand (you don't need to feel bad or apologize if you can’t).

Just how did Rain's neck get so narrow in the final panel? It's narrower than her nose! O_O

Her neck isn't actually that narrow. Her hair is just covering most of her neck.

I don't think one needs a date to go to prom. I know that I didn't have one, but I ended up walking with one of my friends.

Most people prefer to take dates so they don't have to walk alone, but they usually ended up going separate ways at the actual prom. :3

Usually proms don't require dates. Plenty of people go "stag".

Yeah, I think usually's the word. I've heard people assert that their school did not allow people to show up without exactly one date, but not many of those. I think all of those people went to pretty select private schools, too. That said, I think only one of them mentioned how many couples went to his prom: 7. And presumably just to make me utterly disgusted with him, he shared that he also took his date out to dinner that night, and spent more money than I had available for any single semester while in college (after paying all of my tuition, dorm, and book fees, of course.) on their meal.

I know for my prom, we didn't have to say who we were going with. Wish I went with the other girl instead of the one I did go with, though. Oh well, c'est la vie~

Also, I started HRT today! Today will always be a wonderful day! Just after my one year anniversary of coming out!

Discovered this comic about 5 days ago, and binge read all of it >.>

Rain and I share a birth name so that made this really /interesting/ (emotional) to read. Still an amazing comic, really nice to see a comic written by and about trans girls :)
