Ben’s Diner is not, as far as I know, a parody of anything. It’s sort of a reference to another story of mine, Lavender Town, which oft referenced a locale called “Ben’s Deli” (which also is not intentionally a parody). When I was trying to think of a name for the restaurant Rain and co. would be eating at here, I just randomly had a thought of some guy (presumably Ben) expanding his business to a larger food service establishment. This Ben fellow is going places.
That’s not interesting at all though. How about we focus on the rest of the page instead. Liiiiike Jessica, maybe? XD
The RainComicStore on Etsy is holding a charity promotion this week month courtesy of my lovely wife, Kelly! There's never been a better time to get yourself a pride scarf!
Or a hat! She's making pride hats too now! The listing only shows a picture of trans pride one currently, but if we can do a scarf of it, we can do a hat of it too!
I don't think so. I just went looking just in case. She had it on at the eHeartYou commercial back in chapter four, and besides that, the only other interaction between her an Aiken that we saw was when Jessica came out to him.
I don't know what a "tsundere" is but I'm glad that differences between rain and jessica are coming through, I remember how rain brother left and felt so much anoyed because its not how I would of acted, up antill then I had forgotten that rain is not me. And differences like this comming up do a lot to show, that even when placed in a catagory every single person is just as unique. Good work
:p I thought Ben's Diner was a parody of Tom's Diner, by Suzanne Vega.
Jessica still loves Aiken, and is heartbroken. That's why she still holds onto the necklace. Once she throws it out, she's done with him. He has that long to come to his senses and beg forgiveness.
A tsundere is a realistic character who's cautious about new people until they get to know them, but eventually warms up to someone in the central cast. This is seen as something special in anime and manga, because most characters aren't realistic.
I'm not sure why anyone would be talking about Emily here, though. She's not on this page. Or was the tsundere reference regarding someone else? Heather's a bit cautious at first, but she seems to warm up with booze rather than time and acquaintance. Ellen? I could see that. Ana seems like she just wants to know they're not moving in a month or two.
And I think Ben's expanding business is very interesting :c
