Classic adorable Rain. I don’t know about anyone else, but I’ve missed seeing her. Between the hiatus before the last chapter (followed by a chapter itself that barely featured her), I feel like it’s been ages.
I’m not really sure, but I imagine something like this normally might be considered highly unprofessional for someone in Vincent’s position. I don’t really have any excuse except that it’s for the story. Hope you’ll forgive me on that account. ^^;
The RainComicStore on Etsy is holding a charity promotion this week month courtesy of my lovely wife, Kelly! There's never been a better time to get yourself a pride scarf!
Or a hat! She's making pride hats too now! The listing only shows a picture of trans pride one currently, but if we can do a scarf of it, we can do a hat of it too!
Yeah. It's totally acceptable around here as a "you all" term, regardless of gender. I never really considered that it might not be elsewhere. I'm sorry for the confusion. ^_^
Even being from the US it once in a while catches me off guard because of course my brain is a derp, and I get all offended until it finally clicks, so yeah funny story there, I'm smart, honest
One could argue that applying 'guys' to females is sexist but it more of feminism issue than a trans* issue. Especially in this case where there is no question Vincent see Rain and Jessica as female.
It is something Vincent could get into trouble for but I think there's only be a serious professional breach of conduct if he started dating Jessica. If they started hanging out a lot with them as friends, he'd probably be asked to transfer their care to another gender therapist.
Yeah "you guys" is a term here just used to reffer to any number of people a person is adressing at the time. I sometimes have to bite my toung understanding as I do its not ment as a gender aplication. But it somtimes gets anoying, because I'm a little excesive cumpulsive at not being reffered to as male in anway, "pre op" as I am I let slip when its applied to the body, no getting out of that one yet exspecially since I'm not due my first apointment at the clinic antill april onwards, been waiting nine mounths already. But yes goood to see rain again.
Reminds me of when my initial therapist called it a "border breach" when he gave me a pair of hair pins for my birthday, seeing me suffering so painfully from dysphoria, and still having to present male due to real life obstacles.
Taking a couple of patients out for lunch could be lack of professionalism or hyperprofessionalism, it's all about what happens.
It's rare, because it's not a controlled environment, and given the language used, it's not billable. It presents the appearance of misconduct, because most of the time that it gets any attention, it's misconduct. Once that started to be a red flag, the legitimate form of the activity became even less common. That doesn't mean it cannot happen today, and it's certainly not automatic legal trouble when one does it.
It'd also be a pretty serious breach of conduct if he started dating Rain, also. Just saying, to be pedantic.
