This chapter (as well as Chapter 19) is to be a short chapter much like Chapter 7 and 8 were. It will primarily be focusing on the characters seen in the image though. Rain herself only has a bit part (hence the chapter’s title; get it?). I did this to kind of advance the next few happenings a bit more smoothly. I hope it works out well enough. ^_^
Also, this is a little out of the blue, but I want to apologize for the gross lack of Kylie lately (I know Ky’s fans are pretty devoted). Having a character go to another school apart from the rest of the main cast tends to make it difficult to use her sometimes. If I’d anticipated this more in the beginning, maybe I wouldn’t have gone that route. I have ways of adapting though. So although she’ll be absent again for this chapter, don’t worry: I haven’t forgotten about her. She’ll be back soonish.
I love what you did there with the chapter name ^_^
And I love being a Rain Beau, I wasn't sure about it at first but it works and I love it(sorry reapeated myself there)
Does Ky identify as female? I apologize if this question seems out of the blue, but I've been referring to Ky with male pronouns a lot and then you referred to Ky with female pronouns and I was just curious as to what pronouns I should use.
I don't think Ky has expressed a preference. He may not have one, or at least not figured it out for herself. Both possibilities are quite common among non-binary folks.
The character hasn't specified a preference, so I feel the next best thing is to just use the pronouns that won't out Kylie in the particular situation.
Essentially, I've personally adopted the practice of using female pronouns for Kylie when presenting female, and male pronouns when presenting male. It seems the most polite and appropriate way to address Kylie. Several readers tend to use the gender-neutral pronouns like "they" or "xe" though. That's not wrong either. Ky is presenting male most of the time, so to use male pronouns isn't really wrong either. So I leave it to your discretion.
I absolutely love this comic. SO glad I found it. I wish there was more of it, I wish I'd found it sooner, and I wish I could hug all the characters. And you. But you deserve cookies, too.
You know, I can't help but wonder what is up with Rudy, with him juxtaposed on the middle of the cover. He never opens up, so its tough to tell how he's handling with the break-up and quite frankly, everything else. Not that I'm not concerned with the others, its just he's the person who hides their problems, which only makes you worry even more.

It's more of a play on words. When there's no "rain" out, it's more likely to be "sunny." I know. It's dumb. XD
