So, now that we know Fara is looking for Emily, let’s see where Emily is. Don’t worry. It all comes together. I just had kind of a lot to cover.

It’s funny. Even for me as the author, seeing these two mingle is both comforting and unsettling. You can’t help but want to see them settle whatever past drama they had and just be friends. And yet, it’s like a watching a couple of powder kegs to see which blows up first. Thankfully, the latter seems to have been diffused so far.

Anyway, Happy Halloween everyone!

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

Now available in the RainComicStore on Etsy: crocheted gay pride scarves (handmade by my wife) are now being sold, along with the already available trans pride scarves. If you were looking to the coming Winter and thinking, “If only there was a way I could show my pride AND stay warm at the same time,” my friends, look no further! Do be sure to check them out (and the t-shirts while you’re at it).

The frienimes come to a truce cool.

Happy Halloween to you too Jocelyn, did you end up wearing last years costume like you where planning? Also is there an update on Rain vol 2?

Yeah, I sat around doing my work in last year's witch costume. Instead, I've lost almost twenty pounds since last Halloween, so it was a little loose around the waist (filled the upper part though XD).

Rain - Volume 2 will definitely be out this year. I promise. I don't know why this has proven so much harder than the first one, but I think it'll be worth the wait. (Heck, to some extent, I'm already planning Volume 3 to avoid getting pushed so far back again next time.)

Sigh... I love webcomics. The only downside is having to wait days for each page! xD

I'm considering starting my own, and I'm just building up pages now so I know how long they take, but it's definitely a medium that keeps you on tenterhooks.

Believe me, even when you're the author, the waiting can be rough. Especially if you plan ahead far enough, you just get excited for future scenes or developments and want to show them now... but you just can't! O_O (For example, I know things that are that won't be in posts for MONTHS. It's agony sometimes. XD)

If you're interested in starting a webcomic, I sincerely recommend building a stock of pages before posting the first page (for example, I think I had like 28 pages ready to go before putting up page 1). It's good to have a reserve to fall back on, because you know what, things happen. Sometimes, you get sick or tired or injured or busy or bad mood or lazy and you don't draw anything for a little while. With said buffer, it's okay. You can still post without upsetting fans with a longer wait (I do it all the time; sometimes I get lazy WEEKS where I don't draw anything, but I can still deliver a new page). And fans appreciate the consistency and reliability of authors who always post.

Well it's good to know you have a set story line planed months ahead.

If I had any artistic value I would try my hand at Web comics. But that's why people like me have you. A awesome story writer and kick-ass Artiest.

I just found your comic three days ago and I suddenly I found myself on page 50 and now I'm here and I love it!
I can't wait how it's going to be. And hopefully Rudy's going to be fine. I mean, I lvoe seeing my favourite characters totally devastated but he should get his silly smile back after all he tried. (And not just so noone worries but because I want him to really feel better)
But I'm happy for Rain that she's finally about to get her operation and that she has so many people to support her! I really got me down when her brother was at their house and she had to dress like a boy, and I don't even know her situation and feelings myself.
So, I'm glad I found this comic. It's beautiful (and beutifully written), tragical and emotional and I love it. Keep the great work going. And I wish you all the best!

Rain is Far from close to getting her "operation"
therapist is just the first step of many.
(In reality it takes years before she would even qualify) Nope. She still has a long road.

Depending on the efficiency of the medical system in this world, she could be on HRT fairly soon. Then again, they could be as bad as most of the shrinks I've heard of and lose the letter a dozen times before sending it a year late.

@Jude P.

If the therapist is jerking someone around for a year for stupid stuff like that, they should simply be seeking a new one long before a year passes. The person's records would that they'd been observed and approved and that the therapist were going to write that letter (whether they did or didn't), so another therapist might just write it for them right off the bat. No sense in wasting time with that nonsense.

Read through the entire archive (why did it take me so long to even do it?) and I like it. I'm mostly a superhero comic person, but I'm subscribing to Rain because it's awesome. Of course, I can't wait for Magical--magical girls are superheroes to me, and the added aspect of trans characters is great (not enough of them around).

Thank you very much! I'm glad that my work can appeal to you even if it's not quite in your preferred taste of genres. I can kinda relate, actually. I'm more of a fantasy person, but you'd probably never know it from this. XD

I can't wait for Magical either! ^_^

ok so nobody's going to question ¨i know your cry¨?
Sam 3rd Oct 2021, 10:49 PM edit delete reply
I'm thinking that's because Emily has made Maria cry on a few different occasions. They have known one another for a long time. If you remember the New Years' pages, we learn that they were once friends. I don't know what any of my friends sound like when they sob (I couldn't possibly distinct them), but I do know the sound of some of their footsteps. I suppose this could be comparable to that
