I did not. Not for transition anyway. For one birthday though (when I turned 22), a friend got me birthday card for a little girl's second birthday (with an extra 2 written in where necessary).
She did so because for one, it's funny. And two, I don't remember the exact wording, but it used a lot of cutesy, girly terms ("For the birthday girl", "for our princess on her birthday", etc). It was really sweet, and honestly, kind of the inspiration for Maria's card here.
I love your new profile pic. Especially the outfit your wearing >w< wish I had it. Though, I don't think I would be able to fill it out , chest wise ^^; I'm a cross dresser now. My bf introduced me to it and I liked it, so I went with it. I'm now officially a femboy ^^
Birthday cards from my dad's side of the family are the worst. I came out as atheist, so all of their cards included God in them, "God loves you!" and junk. I even got a terrible faux scientific book called "The Case For a Creator" once. It was really insensitive...
And then after coming out as trans, living full time, and moving into a new place and going stealth, they started sending "God bless you, grandson," cards, with all sorts of gender references. It was the most insensitive thing I had ever gotten. I'm glad I don't get cards from them anymore. I don't talk to that whole side of my family.
At least it made the good cards feel so much better.
Most of the support I got was in the form of Facebook likes and comments on statuses and photos about my transition. I got a remark from a random peep at the college that I was really brave and amazing for doing it, which seemed odd o_o But then about a year later someone asked me if I could give advice to a friend, who turned out to be that random peep from before. She was actually a transwoman very much trapped in the closet and unsure how to start transition. It's remarkable what an impact being out can have on other people :)
Inside the box is a box. And inside that box is another box. And another box inside of that. And in the last box is a toy from ages ago Gavin never returned.

Hopefully this box is filled with something better. Maybe chocolate. Or a silly outfit for Puddle.
Also, new avatar pic. You look great :)

All their signatures are identical! Although that could just be catholic school whipping their handwriting into shape.

in a box
just wait patiently
and think carefully
