Thank you everyone for your input on the two different drawing methods, the other day. I've been toying around with it, acknowledging that most people liked the newer look, because of the crisper, clearer image that made the colors brighter and pop more. But also, that fans of the older look didn't like the thinner lines as much, or how it seemed jagged.
I did what I could to try and meet you in the middle. The lines are at a thickness between the older look and the newer one, and given a slightly smoother feel to it, while retaining the clarity and popping color. It takes a wee bit more work, but I think the end result is worth it. It's certainly not perfect, but I do believe this to be an improvement from the original look. And I look forward to seeing it evolve from here.
So, I'm pretty satisfied, to be honest. And I sincerely hope you all like it too ('cause this is what I'm doing). ^_^
I can barely tell the difference from your older pages, which is good. The colors do pop, and the lines are neither too thick nor too jagged. I think it's worth the extra work it will take. :)
(Except Gavin derping in this image. Can not unsee.)
