First off, because a lot of people seem to have forgotten who Jessica is, I’d like to remind you about Aiken’s fiancé.

It’s also worth noting that this was almost not the page today. I changed the order of the next couple pages a bit. Originally, I was going to have Fara and Jessica leave, but have focus remain on Rain’s party before showing this. At the last second, I looked at it again and felt this flowed a bit better. We’ll get back to Rain next week. Let’s take a moment to learn more about what kind of person Jessica is for now.

So, what kind of person is Jessica? And WHAT is Aiken up too? XD

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

And don’t forget, Rain is now on Facebook! Like the Page to hear musings from the author you might not normally hear, and see images specially made for Facebook followers.

Well, let's see..she comes out to her fiance, who instead of standing by her and supporting her, leaves her after likely calling her some choice names, or insinuating she was wrong in her choices... She's probably been told she should feel that way, so she's trying to gauge how Fara feels, as well as to break the ice sort of. She's nervous, unsure of the situation, and has no idea what to expect. I've done a few nervous/insane comments myself in the past.

Part of me hopes Jessica is not mad at him because she knows she was in wrong too, with the whole hiding truth from him.
As for Aiken, most of me hopes, he did it because he enjoys good laugh.

Um ... "fiancé" is male. "Fiancée" is female. I presume misgendering Jessica was not your intention :)

In our lovely author's defense, I also had no idea there was a spelling difference based on the gender of the fianc~. That seems about as arbitrary as every gendered spelling alteration we have, though, so I'm not surprised.

There are a lot of people who loathe the fact that there is both fiancé and fiancée. I think the larger part of that group prefers to type less.

Panel 5 kills me every single time.
You know, sometimes I'm going to make a compilation of all of the best Rain faces. Sometime.
