After two weeks of depressing pages, let’s cut to a merrier holiday, shall we?
Apologies on the haphazard-looking binder. I did research; I really did. Didn’t help. I found a lot of pictures of people theoretically wearing them underneath their clothes, but I still don’t have a very clear idea on what a binder itself actually looks like. So, I don’t really know what I was going for in Kylie’s hand, but it looks stupid to me. If anyone has a competent reference, I will be more than happy to update this page in the future.
And now to bombard you with obnoxious links! Go here to order a copy of Rain - Volume 1 today! And then here to vote for "Rain" on TopWebComics!
And if you’re feeling really generous, you can also go here to make a donation to your favorite poor transgendered webcomic artist. Thank you if you do. No hard feelings if you don’t.
Cute joke, but a person wearing a binder is probably not a woman! Mostly they're worn by transmen and nonbinary people. Because, you know, they're to hide your not-flat chest...and not-flat chests are seen as a female thing.
That said, there are a few reasons why women wear binders. Cosplaying and dressing in drag, for example. My roommate has borrowed my binders for both of those reasons. I've also heard of transwomen wearing binders to hide that their chests are no longer flat, after they've started HRT but aren't out to everybody they know yet.
Okay, I just keep commenting, so I finally got an account.
AHHH YAY SHE GOT THEM A BINDER!! Is it their first? Were they binding with bandages before? Because that's really bad...it hurts a lot and can even make you faint if you do it for too long...thankfully, that's not for my experience, but from my boyfriend's. When I started binding my chest, first I used 7 really tight sports bras on top of each other...I would have bought bandages, because they are more effective, but I live in a town so small that I couldn't find anything that would work. I was going to order an Ace bandage online...but then I just broke down and got a real binder. It was AWESOME.
Y'know...in case any of that helps you write the comic...heh.
I CAN'T HOLD ON!
I'M SLIPPING! D':>
Oh shit, I'm slipping toooooo! D:
*puts on shades*
...full of women.
YEEEEEEAAAAAHHHHHH!

Glad to see Heather is being cool.
