Not originally meant to be a two-pager, I actually joined these pages together figuring the first one to be kinda too much of a downer to post on Christmas Eve. I know a lot of readers get emotionally invested, and I’d feel horrible if I ruined someone’s holiday. The second page isn’t much cheerier, but at least we get to see the resolution of Aunt Fara telling Aiken what for.

So, um… yeah…

Happy holidays? ^_^;

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

Want a copy of Rain - Volume 1?!

Want a cute, little Puddle plushie?

Want to support me without spending money?

Aiken had a pretty harsh introduction to transsexuals, so his viewpoint is understandable. It's not easy to propose to a girl and discover you'd been imagining having sex with a physical male. Right now, he needs time to get used to the idea and understand other people's viewpoints. Rain hasn't hurt any of the people who care for her due to her transsexual nature; she's only hurt people through complex love triangles/quadrangles/other shapes.

This reminds me of when I was little and first heard about transsexuals. I thought it was disgusting and said it was wrong totally wrong for similar reasons to Aiken's. I was only a little kid, though, and I was at a heavy-handed Catholic school; I needed time to understand.

Strangely enough, though, I thought that furries were A-OK and fully supported the idea of grafting animal ears onto your head. ...I was a very strange little girl. ^^;

I find that this page is interesting. It shows how much fara cares for rain, and it leaves everyone on a suspenseful note, keeping them guessing what Aikens choice will be. Personally, I think he'll realize how wrong he was and possibly get back together with his fiancée. Anyways, I wish you all a happy holidays.
Oh, and you should totally pay for advertising! This comic could definetly help people better understand the LGBT community, and what we all go through. I'm not sure if that was already stated, but, oh well. ^w^

Assuming I have money someday, I'd love to put some of it down for advertising so more people see this comic. So, right now, I'm going mostly on word of mouth (so tell your friends! XD)

On a somewhat related note to helping people better understand things, I recently posted an FAQ on my experiences as a transgirl on my DA. You know, just throwing it out there, if anyone's interested. ^_^

The body and the mind don't always agree with each other.

To be honest, it takes only once having a relationship built on a lie (with "i though you wouldn't find out" as only excuse to offer) to develop a grudge.
I'd wait with calling him an asshole.
I think he'll make peace with Rain and forgive his fiancee, but won't go back to her. I find being lied to on something that important most disturbing - transitioning wont change that.

This page is pretty dramatic, but what interests me the most is Aunt Fara rubbing her eye in the first panel.
Could just be she was sleeping in the car. but knowing this comic, I wouldn't rule out the possibility she had been crying.
Things seemed fine enough last time we saw her though...

Poor Jessica... She picked a bad one. I know some people are asking if Aiken will go back to her, but really, I don't think she should go back to him.

I'm kind of hoping Fara really drills him for that bigotry.

These cis tears (aiken, some of the comments) disgust me.

Everyone's emotions are equally valid. Some people just don't understand. Treating them like trash won't help them see us as anything better.

I'm mildly surprised Fara didn't hit him. It looked like the perfect spot for a Fara Punch.

I was expecting a slap, myself.

I won't cry if we never see Aiken after this chapter. :|

And at this point, Rain still has no clue that her brother already knows the truth...I hope he won't make her cry miserably again.

Fara might not think she has any kids, but she raised a brilliant little girl. :')

So this is the comic where the real life timeline overtakes the Rain timeline. Before this, Rain was set in the future (compared to when it was written), but from now on, it's set in the increasingly distant past.
