Just to make sure everyone knows I'm not dead, have a fun thing. I explained what's going on with me a couple days ago on the site's blog, but seeing as I don't think anyone reads it (seeing as I haven't written anything in nearly a year), I'll just repeat things here. I want to apologize for how slow things have been, but I'd like to clear up why.

First and foremost, I've been suffering some technical difficulties with art programs lately. After switching computers some months ago, I lost access to Photoshop. As a result, I spent several months using the "1-month trial" (turns out they never cut you off if you don't close the program). But at the end of last month, I needed to restart my computer, and lost it again. As a result, while I thankfully had all of Chapter 9 pre-drawn, I wasn't able to produce anything following that in the past month. Fortunately, I'm back up and running again... though it is going to be a game of catch up.

Before I can jump into Chapter 10 though, my current priority is to work on something else: a print edition of Rain. This would be labeled Volume 1, and would include everything from Chapters 1 through 6. Also included are all of the Rain Delays and some concept art (perhaps even some I haven't posted online). Of course the real big draw is the full length bonus chapter, called "Chapter A: Ryan", which will NOT be posted online at all.

The fact is, I planned to have a hiatus here anyway so I could work on this without slowing things down, but then I lost my ability to work on anything. Still, I wanted to have this thing done a long time ago, and I'm just don't want to hold off anymore. So, I'm working very hard pretty much day and night to get this book done so I can get back to drawing regular pages.

And reasonably, I'm getting asked a lot when Rain's going start back up. At the rate I'm going, I distinctly think it's possible I'll be done with preparing the print edition by early June (I don't know how long publishing takes, but we'll go from there). Regardless, then I actually have to START drawing Chapter 10. Keeping up that pace I've been setting for myself, I should have enough to comfortably start posting again by the second half of June. The end of June being the absolute latest. Posting will definitely begin again before July.

Also, on a somewhat unrelated note, I'm finally beginning transition myself pretty soon (far too long coming). I have an appointment with the endo on June 19th. Words cannot convey my excitement, but I'd be lying if I said it doesn't add a layer of hecticness (I'm sure that's not a word) to my life. So, you know, wish me luck. ^_^

And all that said, I really do want to thank you all for your patience during this... complicated time for me. The comic may not see real posting for a while (I have some bonus stuff and Rain Delays planned in the very least), but I want to make very clear that it's not abandoned or anything. It's just a busy time for me and I have a lot on my plate. So, thank you for enjoying the comic up to now, and thank you for your continued support and patience. Rain WILL be back next month. And it WILL be awesome.

Look forward to it.

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

I think a good comic can be worth waiting for. I recently discovered yours not long ago when a friend envious of Rain linked me to it. At least you have an estimated timeline, which helps us rabid fans to not throw our computer screens through a window at the lack of a comic we fell in love with. *Winks* But, until the next post, I just want to say, thank you.

Hopefully the last (almost) couple of years have been going well since this post.

Going to look into the printed version for when my budget isn't totally busted on Christmas...if still available, of course.
