So, for years (probably more than half of Rain's entire run), I've had this playlist of music I've been slowly building to listen to when I'm writing. It's changed a lot over time, shrinking and growing as things are taken down or added, and ranges from light piano pieces, to emotionally charged orchestral ones, to high energy battle themes (with some video game remixes or anime score tracks mixed in, but I do try to keep it mostly to stuff I'm not overly familiar with to avoid associations). When I'm drawing, I can listen to more typical songs (or podcasts or like Game Grumps or whatever), but when I write, lyrics are very distracting. But music with no words (or at least words in a language I don't know) helps me a great deal. Sometimes I can just close my eyes and watch scenes play out in my head to this stuff. And for whatever reason, recently, the thought came to me that it might be nice to share that list with you all. I know a lot of my readers are also writers themselves, so I figured it may be beneficial to some of you. (And even if you're not a writer, maybe you'd just like some new music.) ^_^ https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXIveQQLcHK40g3DiBKSZVctYybchd89c
And for purposes of having an image to go with it - and a new avatar - here's my fellow webcomic author/artist, Chanel, whom I'm choosing to imagine has a similar playlist for herself while she works. XD
There's nothing particularly deep to this, and it's no kind of order (so there may be some tonal whiplash here and there), but I hope you like it.
Now I have to try out the rest :)
