New video from the team behind Rain: The Animated Series. This time, we're focusing on showcasing one of the original tracks (Little Victories - Rain's Theme) that will be played in the series. You've in fact heard this one already in the other videos; but now you can hear it in full and by itself. I think it's a lovely piece, and I hope you like it to. The video is nice and chill too.
Everyone did such a great job on this, so I'd love for you to all check it out. :)
I caught up on Rain about a week ago, and I can honestly say it has changed my life. Your comic really struck a nerve with me and something clicked, and I came out to everyone. My family, my school, my friends. It's been strange, and scary at times, but it's going well, and I can't thank you enough Jocelyn :)
This is incredible and it's just fantastic to see it all coming together like this. (I especially love Rain bopping along to the music -- it's a nice touch.)
If you move her a smidge to the left, you could have credits rolling on the right and that'd make for a really cool intro title sequence for the first episode. Like "[one by one list main voice actors, animators, and musicians]" and then have the title "Rain" (larger) as the last one before the bus comes. :D
no no, i see it too. also notice how everyone else seems to have this grey ovverlay on them, but rain is vibrant and almost neon. She's standing out, she's separate, but she's fine with it. she's not going to let anything bother her not even, ironically, a little rain. nothing can get her down, nothing can stop her from smiling.
or maybe i'm reading too much into it too. either way, i like it.
Oh my God, I didn't know y'all were making this into an animated series! That's exciting! And I really like the animation style of what you've put up so far. I love it!
Agreed with Long-Time Lurker's suggestion about moving Rain to the left a smidge so you can roll credits on the right-hand side. It'd be super smooth.
I put out the first book before legally changing my name, so it's just listed a little differently (making it annoyingly hard to search for with the rest of the books). But I got you covered. ^_^
YAY. thankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyouthankyou.
Now I can overload my friends with the whole collection. cant wait for the animated series.
So, not super relevant to this conversation, but kinda?
@Jocelyn
I want to get the physical copies of all the volumes, but I'm not out yet and would rather not risk my parents seeing the order description and asking awkward questions. So for the benefit of all my fellow closeted Rain fans, is there anywhere we could buy a copy in person?
I'm afraid that at this time, it is not available in physical stores. Maybe that'll change at some point, but currently, Lulu is the only ideal way to purchase it.
I just finished re-reading the entire series from beginning to current page again... for like the 4th time, lol!
Looking forward to watching all the animated videos the same.
I found a recommendation for Rain on Reddit yesterday morning, and I’ve binged the whole series up to this point.
I truly wish I’d found this comic ages ago. Maybe I’d be spending my time now as someone I actually want to be. Of course, I came out to my mom months ago, so I’m working on it now. Though, that doesn’t mean this comic hasn’t had a profound effect on me. I loved how every character had a personality and motivations that made them much more real and believable. It was also cool to see how the art grew and became its own style.
I am so happy I found this comic. I binged through from start to current in 3 days and I may or may not be a little disappointed about the lack of baby, but I do really love this comic. I am gonna stay up to date with this from now on! From one trans girl to a whole lot of trans people, thanks for the comics and the great community :3.

Maybe I am just reading to much into just waiting at a bus stop.

Good luck, Jocelyn! :)
BTW, the Lulu store is only listing volumes 2-5, any chance to get Vol 1 back?
It's still available right here!

Sorry I can't be of any more help at this time.

I’m gushing, so I’ll just say I’m a huge fan now!
