The graduation ceremony came and went pretty quickly. The graduates themselves - specifically Rain, Emily, and Gavin, in this case - are joined by all their underclassmen and/or out-of-school friends in the main crew, as they all gather in front of the school to chat.
And of course Maria would come to the graduation ceremony of the Catholic school that expelled her, in a rainbow tye-dyed shirt. XD
That said, if you're concerned about Maria's folks finding her here and doing anything, you don't need to worry. Rudy's not the one that graduated today, and Maria's not attending this school, so it's not as though their parents have any need to be here. Rudy could've honestly left the house saying he's gonna meet up with some friends, and his mom would be none the wiser (and it would be 100% truthful). ^_^
Anyway, we'll be carrying on with Rain and friends for a little while here in front of the school. So I hope y'all enjoy this and what's still to come for this chapter. ^_^
This comic makes me feel longing. All of them are with their friends for now, but soon, like Maria, they all will disperse in some direction. A lot of them will still be close, but their time together is coming to an end. This one has a subtle set of feelings that hit me deep. I really like the feelings of this one <3
I've been wondering for a while now; what do you use for illustrating Rain? I've checked FAQ and there isn't anything posted about your drawing program.
The comic has been done entirely in Photoshop from the beginning up to now.
I am, incidentally, having some technical difficulties with the program very recently, though, and am considering switching to Clip Studio at some point. We'll see what happens there. ^_^
I got Clip Studio four years ago when I got a 2 in 1 laptop with an active stylus, and I have been very happy with it, can not recommend enough.
In particular I like that it allows for tilt and pressure sensitivity, and that It's a program I own and can transfer to other computers.
Considering the lower price point ($20 when I got it) I can see no reason for an illustrator to ever buy photoshop.
I do hope they attend her graduation. It would be awesome to see.
Also, Rain collecting her diploma last week was just the cutest photo ever 🙂

Maria wasn't present at the ceremony, right?
(Also Maria's reaction to Emily is so anime :D)
My school let seniors out a week before everyone actually, so in some cases I literally didn't do finals lol
