Devon's always kinda been my "straight man" (in a lot of ways). He's pretty much always outside of the main drama and conflicts. So when stuff happens - you know, specifically the kind of stuff that would happen in this story - none of it really makes any sense to him. He's not a bad guy, but he's never had to interact with queer matters before this school and particularly this year.

The good news is he doesn't seem angry or anything. Just very confused. ^^;

I like that Devon has always appeared to be the "to each their own" type and doesn't like to ask questions or get into other people's business. Sure he seems in shock, but remember that publicly, Rain and Emily were both only known to have had boyfriends.

Gavin's crush on Rain may well have been apparent to people outside his immediate circle. It's only because Rain was so oblivious at the beginning of the series that she didn't notice.

On the other hand, it's possible Devin didn't actually notice that Gavin had a crush. He might instead have been projecting his own mindset onto Gavin (e.g. "any guy who hangs out with a cute girl obviously has a crush on her!")

It's going waaaaaaaaaaaay back, but all the boys kinda suspected Gavin had a thing for Rain. XD

Yeah, but so did all the boys (and possibly some of the girls ;) )

I really hope that Robbie guy doesn't jump in in this scene. Feel like he'll ask more annoying/ inquisitive / heteronormative questions, really get in Gavin's face.

I kind of miss seeing Randy around. I feel like he’s a straight guy but he’s always been a bit more accepting

ive always liked Devon for his down to earth, let bygons be bygons kind of attitude. the smoke that is building in his head right now is just something that i find incredibly humorous because of that. kind of like he thought he had everybody figured out because of reading body language and such and now he is erring out... like any moment he is just going to blank out and say nothing but 404...404...404...
apologies for ranting 23rd Mar 2020, 7:29 PM edit delete reply
Ok, bit of a rant here, but I’ve never really understood the whole “type” thing. I’m pansexual, so maybe it’s a pan thing? I honestly don’t know. I’ve never been specifically attracted to one type of “thing”. I have an immense appreciation for all aspects of the human experience. My ex once asked me if I had a type, and I said “maybe blonde Jewish guys? At least when it comes to guys,” because I some other guys I’ve had a tiny bit of Interest in were that, but, it felt wrong. Maybe I just said it because he that was an accurate description of him. But I’ve found both romantic and sexual attraction to all forms of people, of all shapes and sizes.

I don’t know if I’ll ever date a straight person again, but I’m always open to human experiences, and letting life come as it may.

Back to my point, I really don’t understand the whole “type thing.” Sorry.

I loved Gavin’s answer to Emily’s type being Rain, I mean, they are dating. So clearly she likes Rain.

Long time lurker, who kept coming back whenever times were hard. I've gone through all the phases of excuses to not come out since you started this comic, from "Too young to know" to "Too late to transition".

I just got off the phone with my psychiatrist. I'm getting an endocrinologist when the plague lockdowns end!

Thanks for all the stories, you're one of the ones who helped this random human survive this messed up world we live in together.
