It's being slowly wrapped up* and it had gone on for 10 years ish. It's better things are tied up nicely, as much as people don't want it to be the end.
It's better than stringing it out so it has no steam, or like another well known well comic; ghosted and ditched without warning or explanation.
*(please correct me if wrong, but swear on one of the notes we had a "brace yourself" warning)
It's not as easily noticeable I'm her first page (though if you look closely, you can see it), but overtly obvious on her second page appearance.

Yes, Ana is an XX/XY chimera.... at conception started as fraternal twin brother and sister zygotes and at some point very early in the pregnancy merged into a single embryo with both DNA lines of stem cells developing into a single fetus with perhaps some body tissues female, some tissues male, some a mixture of both ... or any combination of all that, but certainly with her central nervous system forming form a majority of XX embryonic stem cells. The fact that her eyes show total natural heterochromia with one all blue, and one all green, means that the rest of her central nervous system (brain, spinal cord, etc... eyes and optic nerves are considered part of the CNS for fetal development context purposes) and her skin and GI tract would be composed of a mix of both XX and XY cells since all those things developed from the same originating cluster of stem cells once tissue differentiation began to take place as the embryo becomes the fetus. I learned all this stuff after my doctor discovered that I'm also an XX/XY chimera... in my mid-50s! And I had no idea before.
*Have* Emily and Rain discussed this? I mean, I assume Emily has thought about it, but the comic is mostly from Rain's POV and we've not seen any mentions, thoughts, or conversations between them about it...
Full disclosure; I've always been jealous of teen parents who're able to make it work. I knew such a couple in school. She got pregnant at 16 and he did the right thing and stepped up. None of that "Trapping" nonsense, just two young adults getting shit done. So basically everything that would have made them unsuitable for 16 & Pregnant.
We also haven't heard (IIRC) where Colette or Drew are going. Though in Drew's case, I suspect none of the main characters other than Ky would care.

I mean, it HAS been years
Has Anna always had heterochromia?
Have I just somehow never noticed this??
