In a way, it's funny. I've been planning the prom chapter for so long. Like, almost as long as Rain has been going. Now it's already two chapters ago, and I'm starting to get a little bit of whiplash. XD
But while the night itself has passed, what happens at prom does not necessarily stay at prom. For better or worse. So, unlike the last chapter which ran parallel to prom, this one is the following Monday. The first day back at school after the big night. Should be fun.
Fun fact: It's been years since the last school chapter. And yet seeing those uniforms again just feels so natural. ^^;
Yeah it always startles me when Jocelyn refers to something that happened since I started reading the comic as being "years ago" and I always find myself wondering "Have I really been following Rain for that long?" (looking back I must have started reading Rain either in late 2016 or early 2017, as I remember that I caught up to "present" near the end of a hiatus and the first non-filler page after that was the cover of "A Symbol of Trust")
Hey! Coming over from smackjeeves. Today's the first day I hit my bookmark and it came up with anything other than an error, I had to find your comments to redirect to other sites. Its been quite a while since I've seen anything Rain related! I missed all of "Supportive" but now I'm all caught up and excited for more!!
I'm excited to see what comes next. I am impressed and proud of you for having made it as far as you have. I know some artists and writers fiz and can't continue very well or at all.
And I'm wondering why Rain is flat-chested!! Anyone else notice that detail?? Please let me not be the only one!!
I'm guessing (hoping!) that it's because her breast development has started. I know that doesn't rule out padding, but man oh man were mine tender -- I wouldn't want anything pressing on them at all.
Yeah I also noticed that Rain isn't wearing her falsies. It's somewhat strange to see considering that she's in her school uniform, you'd think that she'd want to pass as much as possible at school, especially considering the events of prom and Rain's stated goal of "changing the conversation". I had assumed that she meant that she wanted to direct gossip away from her gender and on to hers and Emily's sexual orientations. But maybe she meant that she wants to be able to come out on her own terms. I can't wait to find out!
Rain hasn't worn her falsies since the end of chapter 35. I don't recall it being mentioned in-comic, though as Emily said, making room for impending development is most likely.
I'd guess that the high school rumor mill, already spinning, performs a feat of illogic such as "But if Emily's in love in Rain... GASP! That means Rain's a GUY!".
It wouldn't make any sense, but my face doesn't make any sense, so there.
I ended up beating Rain to getting hormones. I recently had GRS.
This story is interesting enough to hang around in my phone bookmarks for that long. I was reading this off my QWERTY keyboard phone. 😂

"Soooo that means Rain's a guy, omg"
Emily etc:
"Well actually, she's a girl so there"
Rumour mill mind blown.Oh? Oh! Oh?! Oh ....!
