And for those of you worried about Colette being outed by this whole blazer business, well, the good news is probably not. In fact, the blazer offering isn't even an uncommon gesture in this kind of setting. For Colette, this is masculine attire that helps him feel better and look more in line with what feels right to him. But for everyone else, it just looks like a simple, common act of chivalry.
Now, I guess the catch is that Colette didn't attend prom with Gavin. He attended with Aidyn, who is clearly feeling a bit outclassed right now. Thankfully not in a combative way, at least, but still.
The page is presented in a silly way, but it does present what a complicated situation this is for almost everyone involved...
It's a big, weirdly lit room. Maybe Colette didn't catch it. Maybe he just thought a glare hit Gavin's eye.
Same thing with any emphasized inflection Gavin could've put on words like "warm" and "cold" (intentionally or not). It's probably loud in there, thanks to every other student speaking in unison or the music likely playing.
So thanks to prom's setting, probably no one's gonna catch really subtle visual or audio cues.

Sorry for being salty, I just think Aidyn is over reacting, I mean are they even dating or just there as friends?
