I debated for a long time whether or not to make a double-header out of this one, or to simply release them as two completely separate pages on different days. I do think they can each stand alone well enough despite the second page’s general lack of dialogue. And as we all know, I can ALWAYS use a bit of extra time to stall for more time to do pages.
Still - perhaps against my better judgment - I went along with making it two pages. It felt right. What can I say.
To clarify what’s happened here, in case there’s any confusion, Gavin has not necessarily suddenly accepted Rain for who she is. He has not necessarily apologized for anything. Perhaps someday, he will; who can say for right now? But this isn’t the sort of thing someone like him can just get over in a single night. He has, however, shown a willingness to try. Even if he is deeply troubled by Rain’s predicament, he can’t deny that he had a good time staying up all night with her.
And that, I think, is a worthy first step.
Also, no, this still isn’t the end of the chapter… ^_^
Awwww, Rain is adorable <3 I'm so happy that things are getting better for her with how much adversity she's been facing up until now <3 I hope things can continue to work out and that she manages to succeed any challenges that await her <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3
It saved me from starting to hate Gavin again lol.
Also, I just find Rain's happy face in the final panel so cute ^^
This page made me tear up. I'm glad he made the right decision, in letting her know he wants to at least try to be friends.
:D
Oh, Gavin, you sweet summer child…
