Welcome back, Rain Beaus! ^_^

If I'm being perfectly honest, I was having some reservations about bringing this back today. I knew this was the latest date I promised, but things have been hectic for me for a little while. Still, that said, I do want to get back to posting. I want to make some progress that I can actually show people again. And I have already pushed things back.

Seriously though; please don't worry about me. I wouldn't be doing this if I didn't think I could. ^_^

The compromise is that for a little while, I'll be only posting two days a week: every Wednesday and Friday. That means no Monday posts going forward for a while. And yes, I know it's Monday today. I decided to have the cover page up today because people hate cover pages "wasting valuable comic days", so now this won't get in the way of the two-a-week schedule. Plus, now it's not technically late, as today is the promised return day. ;P

The two-a-week schedule also may not last the whole chapter. If I can feel properly caught up where I want to be, I'll get back the usual schedule. For the time being though, I think it's going to help me not drag out the hiatus any longer than necessary and also help me not need to take another one any time soon. Thank you for understanding.

Anyway, getting on topic here: Rain gets to be on a chapter cover for the first time this year (the downside of long chapters followed by long hiatuses). And she's rocking a new outfit, and a new look with her slowly ever-growing hair. No, this isn't her prom look, but we are getting so close! Might even see a couple dresses in this chapter. ;)

There's also some very, very mild tweaks artistically going forward. I mean, most people probably won't even notice, but I'm hoping it looks a little nicer. You may also see the page is a little bigger. I'm experimenting with some larger dimensions so those little tweaks don't get totally lost. Again, this is all minor (and not even really apparent on this page, in particular), but I am trying some new things.

Not much else to say, actually. Just, thank you. For always putting up with me. I know it's probably a real pain to wait for me like this all the time, but you have no idea how much I appreciate it. I'm doing my best with this comic and with other projects and with life, and sometimes it feels like I'm still never good enough. But I will continue to do my best - as long as I'm not breaking myself or burning out, I can and will continue to keep this going.

Thank you, and I love you all, and I hope you enjoy what's to come. <3

Is there going to be a conclusion to the DnD filler story??? It feels like it was about to go somewhere interesting...

For the time being, its on hold. There's not a lot left, so if a break is needed again, Maddie will jump in wrap things up. ^_^

Sorry for the inconvenience, but I'm sure she'd be happy to hear you liked it. Don't forget that if you want to see more of her stuff, you can find it here:

Am I looking too deep into this? May be the art style or the pose, but it looks to me like she's not wearing her falsies. I'm predicting she is going out to show off her current growth.

I'm so excited! I've only got 2 days to reread the whole comic from the beginning, so it's time for a Rainathon.

Aaaaaahhhhhhh Rain is back!!!!!!!!
you have no idea how happy this made me to see her smiling out at me when I did my customary refresh of the page! This comic means so much to me, it has seen me through a lot of things in my life and taught me so much.

I love Rain, no arguing that.
But if your not in a place where you can spare the energy for it and you push it will it really be the Rain you want? Do what you need to do. I and I am sure others will happily wait on your doorstep like neighborhood cats waiting for food. we get hungry enough we will seek other foods for a time but just as soon as we see more on your doorstep we will be back.

Wait that sounds wrong, I hope you get my meaning. we can wait you can not, you do you.

I found Rain a week or two ago and I must thank you for making this series. It is a wonderfully written and presented story that I've already read a couple times over and has helped me understand people better. I grew up thinking that just being gay alone was a myth and that was just some odd joke characteristic you'd see on TV every once in a while, much less knowing that there could be more to the LGBT community. This mindset was never challenged in my upbringing until I realized that my best friend was actually gay, like he had been saying for the past few years, and I had rather hurt him with my cruel innocence of doubting everything about him. It's been years since he stopped seeing me as a friend. Since then, I've been trying to understand more and more kinds of people and issues, and this has become the gateway for me to begin to understand trans people and see them as normal people that just want to live their life as they are despite what society would tell them to be. As you might imagine, I can bitterly relate to all the characters who don't understand and can be cruel in their lack of understanding. I hope to think that this webcomic and several others I have read since this one have helped me become less like those characters who can't accept and don't understand the lives of others. I can by no means say I truly understand what it's like to live life in the wrong body and work to fix that and live with the societal and emotional repercussions of doing so, but with what new understanding I have, I'd like to say I can accept people better for who they are now.

Thank you.

It may not be too late for you and your friend. If you can locate his address, sit down and write an apology (these things always look more sincere when handwritten). Tell him how sorry you are. Don't try to excuse your actions, just tell him that you are dreadfully sorry for what you said and did, and you want to apologize for what you did.

Really, don't try to weasel out of accepting full responsibility for your actions. Just say 'I'm sorry for what I said and did. I'm sorry that I hurt you.'

Then the ball is in his court. He has the choice to decide what to do from there, including just ignoring you. Really what have you lost if you don't hear from him. He's not talking to you now, so if he contacts you then that has to count as a win.

You will have done the most important thing, apologizing to him.

I'm glad to see this back, but please do not stress yourself too much. This is a great comic, and I enjoy rereading it when I can.
