I'm sure you have some questions. ^^;

As should be abundantly obvious after over a thousand pages, Rain is a work of fiction. It is also a slice-of-life school dramedy story and NOT a courtroom drama. I wanted this arc to be in here (for reasons), but I didn't want to derail the overall tone. And while I know many readers wanted to see judges passing down verdicts, or people getting fired/expelled, or just some of our antagonists slowly writhing through punishments, I felt that going too deep into it was just going to pull the story into a weird tangential direction.

The "rumors" here mostly chronicle what I had in mind for the wrap up, and it doesn't take dozens or more pages of off-topic scenes to set up to bring us there. How do people hear these kinds of things though? Well, if the pre-E3 cycle has taught me anything this year, it's that secrets can always get out. XD

I've actually been really nervous about these pages, because I don't know if readers will feel satisfied. "So that's it!? Everything is just wrapped up very neatly and quietly off-screen in two little pages of exposition!?" Here's the thing: not really. There are still some questions unanswered. I never said this was the end of Father Quenton and Todd either. And it's not as though everything is back to normal...

But hey, most characters to ever appear in a single update. That's fun! XD

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

Oh boy, guess that is a quick way to wrap it all up, though it does make you wonder which are true and which aren't...

WOW!!! ALL I CAN SAY IS WOW! I'm glad Quinton and Todd are gone, at least for now. *chills* I hope Rudy does go back to public school, but I also hope he doesn't. I'd hate to see him away from his friends, Chanel too.

Going forward, with Arthur acting as principal, it'll make the school a lot safer for Rain and everyone, but I'm worried the new principal will be just like Quinton. But who knows, the comic might be finished by then, lol! I hope the best step will be getting Maria back, but her father is still a threat imo.

Yanno, I'm thinking Arthur should just go ahead and keep that job.

While this would be great for the school, Brother Arthur does not have the rank to do so. I'm not up on Catholic schools but I think only those with the rank of Father or higher are placed in charge of a school.

Brothers can take the top spot too if there's no Fathers available, usually then the vice principal will be a regular school board appointed rep so there's no rank issue between similar level Brothers.

It can depend on the diocese, or even by parish. It's not uncommon for the principal to even be a nun. For example, my aunt was once principal of Bishop Maginn High School.

I hope Maria gets to come back.

She should, assuming the comic world follows the same protocols as the real world. Assuming Father Quentin even sent in his recommendation for her expulsion at all, the school board has ample evidence (thanks to Brother Arthur) to decline said recommendation and lift her suspension.

I'm glad you opted for this route. The detailed outcome from the last strip was pretty much guaranteed to be the sort of 'train wreck' story that nobody would really like, because these dramas are never as one-sided as people would want. So it'd be a long, frustrating distraction from the rest of the story.

And, of course, if there were any parts you wanted to explore in more detail, there's always the grey and white updates.

Wooo, I am relieved.
>The Todd hush money stuff I honestly would believe, but I'm glad there is *a* rumor Todd is getting help.
>Randy looks super cute with that big grin by the way.
>And I'm glad to hear Rudy is making some progress with his mother.

Also, I see a chance to flood the halls with rainbow flags while the administration is still off their feet from loosing Father Quenton.

It's more or less the outcome I hoped for. There always seemed to be a mystery behind what Todd was doing but if it simply stays 'he was just an asshole bully' i'm ok with that.

I think avoiding several pages of trial was a good choice though I might've put in one more page of quinton/arthur.

I like that Todds special treatment is left ambiguous, This chapter has been unique, more snapshots than in real time. We're hurtling fast towards the end of the semester, (and a lot of our main cast are seniors right?).
I am... uneasy about how this story continues into a, graduate, college, post HS setting. I think I remember Jocelyn saying something like "we're not halfway done yet" but that was a while ago maybe?
Meanwhile, I'm glad we're not getting bogged down in legal detail, I want to get back to some other characters. We haven't seen Kellen, Aiken, Kylie, or Jessica in what feels like forever!

Brother Arthur confronted Quenton on Friday, March 22nd in "Slam". This page takes place on Monday, April 8th. That's more than a 2 week time jump (comic time). This was a great way to wrap up some of the confrontations while still leaving room for people to speculate. Although it would have been nice to see another page of Brother Arthur tearing the Evil Incarnate a new one, this was done really well. Great job as always.

is this a secretly a move jocelyn made to get rid of the uniforms she is tired of drawing, by making everyone change schools? one without uniforms perhaps?

Thanks for mostly pulling the plug on the questionable stuff by way of Madison and her brother. Much obliged that rumor is mostly squished now. Not enjoying the comments section lately.

Otherwise, a real "wow" update and awesome story telling device. My expression went o_o to ^_^

So the time skip was two weeks and three days. Incidentally, two weeks is the average amount of time it takes a school board to receive and review a principal's recommendation for a students expulsion (it's been known to take up to four weeks in some cases, or as little as a few days; the more complicated the circumstances, the longer it can take). Assuming Father Quentin ever even sent it to them at all, the board has ample evidence to decline said recommendation and lift Maria's suspension.

I don't know why, but I absolutely love his cameos!

"therapy and anger management for Todd"? Oh good, maybe the ticking time bomb will be defused after all.
