So, originally today's page was planned to cut to another scene. When I realized it was going to be the THOUSANDTH PAGE though (according to the official count; not Comic Fury's numbering), I decided to keep it right here. There's a few reasons. Like, even though this arc isn't really specifically about Rain herself, I felt the character the comic is named after ought to be on this one. Plus, there's just such a sense of hope here, and it felt like a good tone to celebrate a milestone like this with. ^_^

The catch, of course, would be the nature of this page as a flashback, leaving everything in being monochrome. All I can think of is all the black and white comics I've read that would usually color a milestone like this. And here I am taking the color away for it in a comic that typically HAS color. XD

Page 1,000 is special though. To me, anyway. I can't believe I've done a thousand of anything. And I owe it to all of you for continuing to read and have interest in it. I don't know that I could've followed through without you. So thanks. <3

Just this once, I'll post a color version of this page later today. Because this one is special (even if it is actually a pretty standard page overall), and because I love y'all so much. I hope you Rain Beaus will stick around and continue to enjoy the comic as it goes on.

Congratulations on making it to 1000 pages! I haven't been here since the beginning, but the entire comic is such a joy to read and I'm grateful you keep making it. Rain is helping me figure out who I am, and I know you have done the same for many others.

Happy milestone!! You are super rad and I am super proud of you for making drawing and comics your Official Thing. Having tried it and just not had the gumption, I have only a tiny sense of the work and dedication that takes. Admiration!!

This is a fantastic comic and looking back it's really amazing the places you've taken it.

Congrats on page #1000!!!
>Attempts to make a cake with 1000 candles
>Hilarity ensues
>Collection of home insurance money ensues

Thank you for making such a wonderful and amazing comic for everyone to enjoy; and it probably goes without saying but... the fact you’re showing a trans* character just makes me so happy. Too few comics will do that (One of my favorites that does it really well is called Questionable Content; highly recommend).

So thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for being brave enough to be open about yourself through this as well. Just... thank you.
I was introduced to Rain last summer, and started reading it on 9/1/17. I've been absolutely hooked ever since, and have read it from start to (at the time of each reading) current at least four times. I adore these characters and story, and love reading the stories and support from your other devoted readers. Congratulations on reaching this milestone, and I hope you have many more to come, Jocelyn!
New pic! I love it!

Congrats, Jocelyn! What's great about this page is that it shows the first characters in the comic (other than Fara and the introduction flashback). Rain, Maria and Gavin are all there. And that last panel is quite badass.

So I learned something, I am intersex. I am a man AFAB and I have PCOS, however PCOS is usually treated with androgen reducers and administration of estrogen, progesterone, or both. For me however, any attempts to medicate me with typical PCOS medication or female hormones, only made my testosterone levels raise higher and made me violently ill, my body is simply coded to be male hormonally and the doctors had no idea why. I have done lots of research and knowing that I classify as intersex, alleviates a lot of confusion that I have been dealing with for years. I am glad to finally have answers.

I think this is flows much better with it right after the last page, instead of between pages. Congratulations on 1,000 pages!

1000 wow, love it love it love it. I also love the look on Maria's face at the end when she says, "I'd like to see them try and stop me.". Marvelous. I Love Rain and thank you for 1000 wonderful feels!
