Graaah! As if it's not bad enough failing to make the words come out right, I personally think being interrupted when you've finally gained the courage to do it is even worse. "Shut up and let me pour my heart out to this person!"

No, I'm not speaking from experience. What would make you think that?

It feels like it wasn't that long ago that Rain was saying she didn't need to ask Emily out and that everything is fine the way it is. But despite what's transpired between Rain and Kellen, she and Emily have grown much closer over this weekend. From staying up all night giggling and opening up to each other before the con, to a long day of wandering and bonding at the con (mostly without Aiken and Kellen). They both went out of their way to help each other. They both protected each other. Their relationship is only growing stronger and stronger. And - at least for Rain - it's changing "everything is fine" into fantasies where she confesses her feelings. And they've still only gotten closer since then.

But while getting a new girlfriend she's infatuated with would be a serious self-esteem booster, what could a "no" do to Rain's confidence right now. Not to mention, she still has to spit that confession out first (and without interruptions). And she probably can't do that at school.

Lots to think about, and I'm eager to hear thoughts (Rainily shipper or not).

Not having the courage to spit out what you want to say at the right moment? Yeah, I ran into that recently. As in I had the perfect shot to come out as trans to my friend and I was too scared to do it despite the fact that from what made that moment perfect I knew that friend would be totally chill about it.

That aside, looks like it's gonna be some real smooth sailing for the S.S. Raimily for now! Except of course, Fara feels it necessary to keep us from getting our canon just yet. And I really hope Emily doesn't say no, I mean, they have gotten a lot closer over the course of this. If I had to rank their social link right about now, I'd say a 7 would be a bare minimum estimate. They're pretty tight.

...GOD I SHIP THEM SO HARD

That said, I wonder what Kellen's going to do about the phone-is she going to try to talk to Emily about...you know? If she does, will Emily listen, or will Kellen have to have Aiken back her up a mite?

It occurs to me that the past hundred thirty something pages has been this one weekend. I mean its all significant and I love it, but its almost 20% of the existing story (18.4 % to be exact :P)

@Rae

This has occurred to me as well. I'm looking forward to continuing the story beyond this weekend. XD

And crazier still, it's been February since Chapter 20 began, making it 240-something pages in just this one month (the "shortest" month, no less). And there's still technically more February to come. >_>

That frustration of wanting to say something important and it being interrupted and ignored.

You just made an unrelatable scene totally relatable. I think you have the skills to be an author, or a reviewer of some sort. You seem very creative, I think you will go far in life. I don't know if you're an adult or a teenager or a kid, but regardless, your comment just seems very intelligent and mature. I strive to be able to pull real sentiments out of fictional stories like you did. I'm sorry for being weird/creepy lol. But you seem special :)

It has to be telepathy. When you want to confess to somene, you have strong, very strong feelings. Because of this huge power, other people can sense it, and think about the one you're about to confess to. And BAM, they run into your loved one.
Telepathy is real, and is ruining so many things! è_é

Rain had the courage to actually say it, even though she was stopped by her dear, dear aunt. Every time I want to say something like this (mainly when I try to come out), I'm thinking "LET'S GO!", and then when I have to say it, I'm screaming "NO I CAAAN'T" in my mind... Congratulations, Rain. XD
