Quite the diverse set of reactions. And once again, with poor Rudy always being made out to be the villain. Going to school with closed-minded homophobes and dimwits allows this kind of thing unfortunately. Perhaps it IS better Rain doesn’t come out.
That said, is there ever really a GOOD time to come out?
That was fast. Kind of annoys me that people are acting like Rudy initiated the break-up, though. While it was pretty mutual, it was initiated more by Rain's feelings than Rudy's. He legitimately loved her, but she didn't feel the same way.
Also, given the nature of the school, the best time for Rain to come out is probably after graduation. ^^;
From my experience, I'd say the "best" time to come out - assuming your family would most certainly not be accepting - would be at college, when you're living on your own away from the folks, have a close circle of friends, and you're more likely to have access to LGBTQQIA resources. If I'd come out earlier, I wonder if I could have even been allowed to go to college o_o
Can't say that's true for everyone. I wouldn't know what to advise for Rain heeeh
Hi, first time reader just marathon-ed the entire comic. Love it, the humor is great and very educational. I feel I've learned a lot and looking forward to more.

No need to give the principle any reason to start harassing her.
