Read all of the dialogue very closely, and we actually learn quite a bit about Gavin here. Some “Gavinny goodness”, if you will.

And ooh… Another short set of black and white scenes that portray past events in the story. Heh, I guess if this were an anime, this chapter would be like the dreaded “recap episode”. Thankfully, it’s easier to get away with this stuff in comic form so that it’s not annoying or slowing things down too much.

The first flashback panel is from when Gavin discovers Rain’s identity and sulks about it (page 23 – Friends…). The second is when Rain explains the transition process to Gavin and why it’s so important (that being the aptly named page 93 – Transition). The final flashback panel (from page 129 – Tag Along), refers to a point in which he tried to dissuade Kylie from pursuing Rain… though Gavin himself may not have realized he was doing it at the time.

Rain, all characters and all other aspects of the story are copyright material belonging to me.

Awwww. Now I wonder if he is really willing to go the distance and wait for rain to change completely.

I wonder how long that will take, in Rain's case? Fara doesn't seem to have much money, and GRS isn't cheap. It took me 12 years to save up for mine, and even then my parents had to help out.

I've heard rumors that some insurance providers are finally beginning to cover GRS, though, so maybe Rain won't have to pay out of pocket like I did.

Good to know that Maria and Gavin both have some deep-seated transphobic views. It'd break belief for me for either of them to view trans women as women regardless of surgery/hormones in 2012 without being immersed in the community.
