This week's going to be a little weird. We're mostly going to be slowing down while the kids all have their own short interactions. I've been considering this like an "intermission" week a bit.

To start, we have this little interaction with Rain, Emily, and Ana. ^_^

Rudy :(

In addition to that, Gavin looks concerned about Rudy. Those 2 seemed to have grown to be like best friends over the last few irl years.

"Maybe - hopefully - this is the worst of it."

Oh Rain, don't jinx yourself...

Everyone's over the moon except Rudy and Gavin it seems. Rudy is probably worrying about Colette, and Gavin is probably worrying about Rudy.

Probs been revealed in the comic by now...

But just saying it looks to me that the Rudy and Colette are texting each other; presumably about the thing that just occurred.

I wonder what that look is about. Is he having a txt conversation with Collette about his (unrecognized) kinda-sorta coming out earlier? Collette did kinda run off quick after that, almost like he was embarrassed at what happened...

How long till the bubble bursts and the dumb questions flood in? Probably next page.

It's incredible how much time has passed in Rain. So much has happened since she started living as herself, that feeling of months is quite potent of a feeling for Emily to bring up. This has been a far more eventful year than Rain might have wanted, but it is an incredible time for her, and everyone else among her friends, family, and people who care about her. This is such a wonderful experience to feel the time that's been experienced.

I hope we get to see a flash back of how the ride home went with Fara, Rain and Emily. It would have been a very juicy conversation.

Is the load button not working for anyone or is it just me?

is it just my imagination, but has Rain grown a little taller now than what her height was at the beginning of the school year. Seems like at the Halloween Party, she, Rudy, Maria and Emily were almost all just about the same height, Now Rain has lately been appearing approx 1 to 1.5” taller than both Rudy and Emily. It she’s indeed been growing a little more lately, then it’s a damn good thing she’s finally on HRT now. The 2nd wave — big burst of adolescent puberty that often kicks in about age 18 / end of senior year high school in a lot of AMAB persons, can be especially damaging with the testosterone poisoning.

Do I sense cracks in the 4th wall in that last panel?

Rereading this chapter and I realize I somehow missed that being "in quarantine" was probably a reference to real current events.

@bgb16999

Just a weird coincidence, actually. I wrote the line months prior and drew the page at least a month in advance (before I realized the current events situation was getting as bad as it did). That said, because it's the most unique word on this page, I almost named the page "quarantine".

Once it came time to post, I felt it would be in poor taste (however coincidental), so I agonized for a while on what to call the page instead. I almost changed the line altogether, but I opted to keep it. At the very least, I went with a different title.
