Lots of little connections here. A couple pages ago, I discussed a little recap of why Jess is here to get her closure with Aiken, following their breakup. I won't go too into that again because you can just read that page's blurb for those details. I will talk about those other connections real quick, though.

I don't think we've ever actually seen Kellen and Jessica in the same place at the same time, but it's been implied several times in the past that they've met. And neither one likes the other. See here, for example. Or here.

And while Aiken and Heather have never interacted, per se, they have been in each other's presence before. She was there, directly between them, when he came to apologize to Jess. And then there was the time he stayed with Rain and Fara for a few days before and during Christmas. And well, Heather is the downstairs neighbor, so they might've crossed paths. At the very least, he's definitely met Ky. Aiken probably couldn't pick Heather out of a crowd, but "a feeling like he might've seen her" seems fair for him to say, I think.

And finally, because people do forget this sometimes, Heather and Ky are Rain and Fara's downstairs neighbors. Rain is friends with Ky. Jess is friends with Heather. So while Heather may not know Kellen directly, she's surely heard some stories about her. Especially after a few months ago. You have to imagine at some point Heather posed a passing remark/question about Rain's hair and someone clarified what happened.

All of this is minor points, but I think it's worth bringing up just as refreshers for who's who and how they all know each other. I hope it helps and I hope you like the page. ^_^

As a final note, I don't normally feel the need to announce the next post day, but since Wednesday is Christmas, I will just reconfirm for you all: I will be posting on Wednesday.

I’m excited for this arc, but I’m not sure that I can forgive Kellen if this is where this is headed. Maybe I’ll learn something about myself?

Can't wait to see where this goes! Curious, where did the names Aiken and Kellen some from?

@Kyle

Honestly, I don't remember. It's been ages since I picked those names for them. If I had to guess, I was probably flipping through a baby names book and just fell on those (I do that - or baby name sites now - a lot when coming up with character names). I don't remember if there was a specific meaning to the names, though, or if I just liked the way they sounded. XD

Kellen needs to own up to what she did to Rain, be periodically reminded about it, and if ever to be redeemed as a human being, to always feel bad about herself for having done it.... to not expect anyone to actually ever forgive her for it, and openly admit what she did was so very wrong, and that she was an outright bully.... and if she sincerely shows that she now considers herself to have been made lesser of a human by her selfish act, then she can be allowed to move past that and endeavor to become and be accepted as trying to be a more considerate and compassionate person. Last time we saw her in Vincent's office, it was about to be revealed that she has some kind of very big psychological problem herself, and will undoubtedly need the help of her family and any friends she can earn the trust of, to overcome her problems. Maybe if she overtly humbles herself enough, even Rain may speak to her again, since I believe Rain has a big enough heart to show compassion even when not deserved. Not expecting Rain to forgive her older sister anytime soon, but feeling sorry for her.... yeah I could see that since the innate need to feel sorry for the wretched is an undeniable trait of femininity.

It's weird looking at the old art style in those links. When you first changed it, I kinda preferred the old style. But now I definitely prefer the new.

I personally cant recall at this point. Does Heather know about Rain being trans? I'm sure it came up at some point Ky spending time with her,but I don't remember.
